So, who else has finished Harry Potter's final adventure? I read it for 12 hours yesterday to finish it before anyone spoilt it for me!

Hi so it is a year this week since i started managing the nursery i work at. i have had and survived an ofsted inspection, dealt with problem staff and parents, done the EYPS and am now awaiting results and have effected many changes. i can honestly say the past year has flown and has been great, i have really enjoyed it. had highs and lows, but wow sometimes i need to pinch myself and remind myself that yes i am actually doing this and succeeding..... kind of feeling proud of myself right now so thought id share it with you. Last day today for 11 children. You know it is going to be a werid morning with feeling sad that they are off but glad to help them on their adventure. Parents have arrived early for the presentation, as they were leaving one child called out "ah help... mummy is leaking!" the room went very quiet and i turned around to see the mum crying and laughing at the same time!!! The parents were quite upset at leaving us today but the comment made us all smile!!

Welcome to the 6 weeks holiday for term timers in some parts of the UK. Ummm what the weather going to be like? Most likely rain, rain and more rain. No doubt I won't get any work on supply in my area for the next 6 weeks last year was similar. So what are your plans for the nice raining summer holidays? I will be busy trying to find a job as normal. Working on updating my portfolios for interviews thing (need a good name for it). Including new planning example for Foundation Stage age group, simple statements of what I have been doing work wise for the last 4 years. Hopefully making a story sack and song sack as part of my planning. …

We let the budgie out for a fly around, at the time I was eating some nice smelling crisps! Well what would you know the budgie was trying to get into the bag of crisps to eat them, then tried eating out of my mouth, ah not getting away with my food mister! Once I had finished he lost interest but found I had the smell on my hand so tried to eat that instead. Beth
