One more day to go. I can't believe it - we didn't have one day this summer worrying about sun hats, cream, sensible clothing, making sure that toys were put in the shade all of the usual things we generally worry about from June onwards. What happened!!!! I didn't even get to make a paper fan to keep anyone cool!!!

Hi everyone When I am looking at the forum and reading the posts I like seeing where people are from. That probably makes me a bit sad or weird or just really nosey but I like to know what part of the country people are in. So, if you are happy to (don't if you like being mysterious) maybe you could go into your 'my controls' and amend your profile to include your location. Me............ I can't believe how mean some people can be. A member of staff has gone off on her holiday today without a word of thanks from any of the committee members or parents for all her work over the year. A simple thank you would have been nice, maybe even a bunch of flowers or box of choccies, but no , not even thank you. I can't believe it after such a long hard year.

I have seen the one and only job in the local papers this week; Creche Supervisor part time/term time must have level 3 min. This postion is in a children's centre working in the creches, which I enjoy. I am not sure if I should go for the job or just wait and see if anything else come around the corner. Beth

I went for an interview this morning, did really well I thought. I have just reviced a phone call to say I didn't get eather the deputy or a preschool assistants job because of my lack of experince! What 4 years is nothing working my way through childcare! So on this note it looks like I will have to leave the job I love just because no one want to give me a job in the sector. It seems that working with children for over 4 years plus 3 years on work placements haven't given me enough experince. I am really upset that this keep happening over and over again. Oh well I will have work in a shop somewhere. Beth

Hi I have come back from my lovely 2 weeks holiday in Kefalina, Greece, I feel soo relaxed I could just fall asleep. :rolleyes: The weather was fanstasic mid 30's sunny with the odd cloud floating by. :wacko: This is a quick lowdown on my holiday: First few days spent by the pool reading books. then for 4 days using a car went all over the island, Argostoli the capital-saw some careta-careatas (tirtles), down to Skarla for a boat trip almost end up in Zante before we came back, went to another town before visiting Xi (thi) beach. We went to see some other islands nearby including Arotstole Onnaisis's (sp) island from a short distance. Followed by 3 m…

Well I'm off at lunchtime today so I'm wishing you all a lovely summer whatever you may doing. I wish you lots of sunny days too I shall miss you lots over the next three weeks but no doubt when I return there will be lots to catch up up. I'm off boating...again.
