Today the school had invited us to take our children to watch the whole school's performance of Joseph. All todays children will be starting school in September so they are into school at the moment. Having been warned about sitting still and not talking we filed into school where the front row had been reserved for us. They were fantastic and really enjoyed it. The performance was good too, it brought a tear to my eye. At least half the children in each year have been to playgroup with me and it makes you realise how quickly they are growing up. I was proud of my little ones too as they sat transfixed by the 'big kids', and waving to siblings and friends before the start…

Dare we hold our breath and believe that summer may be just around the corner. Yesterday (Sat) was the first day in ages we didn't have any rain, not even a small drop. In fact last night we had friends around and enjoyed sitting in the garden with the chimnea alight followed by a dip in the hot tub. This morning as I write this, the sky is blue (with a lot of white clouds) but NO RAIN. I've put my third load of washing on this morning and have now just realised how much ironing I must do later. Happy Summer to everyone!!!!!

I must share with you all the wonderful day we have all had. The playgroup, parents and staff have all been to the sea side for the day. The sun was shining, the children paddling, parents playing games, staff playing with the parachute & circle games with children & parents oh and grand parents! chips for dinner, sand castles with moats and no tears untill we had to leave the funny face with mad seawead hair behind! What an excellent day! We have avoided sea side trips for three years as each trip we planned ended in a major wash out not just a shower may i add but serious rain blowing in from the sea with strong winds. This sunshine has been very happy t…

Hey - is it me or my computer? Does anyone else have a new layout to their page when opening up a topic? (Not that I'm complaining Steve) - just came as a bit of a surprise - much easier to find the replies instead of having to scroll down pages. Going to explore a bit more now.
