Hi there, I don't think I mentioned yet that I am getting married in December. Our guest list is growing and growing but where do you draw the line? I feel really lucky to have so many really good family and friends, I would hate to offend anyone but equally it is our day and I don't want to feel overwhelmed. I would be grateful for any advice

Im A Suitable Person

Hi everyone, I did post this in my original thread but thought i would post a new one as well. After 3.5 long hours, lots of questions, I am now a suitable person LOL. I was very fortunate in that my ofsted lady was fantastic, very funny lady, who put me at ease. Went through all the standards but in such a way that i clearly understood what was being asked and I just discussed my practice at lenght with her. I am so relieved that its now out of the way. Hi all, Just thought I would share with you my dread about the week ahead. After two lovely relaxing weeks off school for easter I am back into school tomorrow with a week of parents evenings to look forward to!!!!! Our school operates on a 1:1 meeting lasting ten minutes. I always end up going over the time and end up rushing and forgetting half of the things I intended to say!! I have two especially difficult parents to look forward to this year. One who is quite aggressive but the Head is sitting in with me for that one. Ah well roll on Friday with one dry throat and one talked out teacher!!!!!

My friend phoned me last night and asked if i fancied a day at the park today. What a lovely idea so packed a picnic lunch for me and Samantha and we all set off to the park. This entails walking past my nursery and as i did i find that the whole of the nursery - children, staff and their parents were waiting to throw me a surprise 40th birthday party. After getting over the shock of it all i had the most wonderful and memorable day ever, children running up for cuddles, placing home made cards in my hands, and i now have a house that looks like a florist, some older children who are now at school (some in year 3) were there and it was great to catch up with them, it w…

I took my 75 yr old father-in-law to buy a new mattress. I parked, we both looked around and decided we didnt have to pay. I got a parking ticket and so did a lady with a disabled badge. We both phoned the clamping company who were stroppy, so I put the phone down. The lady with the badge was told there were no disabled spaces there but she was clearly parked on one. I have to admit there were signs but not where I parked. My ticket is timed at 11.58, at 12.05 I was in the shop phoning my husband about collecting the mattress, this is after we'd walked to the back of the shop (and F-I-L walks very slowly bless him), looked at the beds, sat on them and then waited for th…

I didnt want to clog little ones friends post with my waffle about Barcelona so heres a new post ... Narnia, we didnt get to see much of Barcelona, we were there on a rugby tour with a grumpy coach driver who said we didnt have time for a tour (we did) so I'm going back another time. We walked down La Rambla, loads of stalls and street entertainers, and the market which has lovely displays but also live crabs, skinned rabbits, whole pigglets and nameless things We were told to be careful of pickpockets and bag snatchers but we were fine, I think the rain kept them away! Shopping looked good Have a fab time The photo is of a display on a market stall …

My sister sent me a link to an online puzzle a couple of weeks ago and I lost my life! I found it so addictive but thankfully I have almost completed it now. However, I thought I would share it with the rest of you but be warned - it is time consuming. I don't think I have used google and wikipedia so much in my life. http://www.shygypsy.com/farm/p.cgi It's sort of a word association game so just start typing words that link with what is on the screen, but it is American so don't be too British.
