Photo Cd

Have spent the last three weeks trying to put together a CD of photos with background music. I know some of you have done this, and I'm beginning to tear my hair out. In the past I have just made a slideshow of photos on CDs, but this year, inspired by a trainee teacher (who has sadly gone back to university now!!) we have put together an altogether more impressive display - however, have now used 15 CDs/DVDs and still haven't got one that plays the music and photos on a DVD player, which has been possible before for the photos. Can anyone tell me how they do it. What program you use. Or give any hints. We have put the photos onto slideshow on Windows Movie Maker…

Yesterday I emptied my preschool store cupboard for our termly spring clean but we decided rather than just a spring clean we would have a ruthless sort out and throw things away. there is years worth of "tat" that I have hoarded old toys that are past their best, odds and ends that I saved because "that will be good for the craft area," we took everything out sorted it into colour co-ordinated boxes and threw so much away my cupboard is wonderfully organised, labelled and now I have space to buy some new resources but.... Im such a hoarder and I found this such a wrench to chuck the rubish out...... I found my self keeping half an eye on the bin bags, scared…

Help....girly Stuff!

I'm getting married in August and still have loads to organise. I'm not terribly girly. I'm not a tom boy but generally I don't wear make-up (because I'm rubbish at applying it), and I don't do my nails etc. I want to wear make-up on the day, but would need to get someone to do it for me, so that it looks good and doesn't wear off after 5 minutes. I just want it to look natural though, otherwise it will be such a contrast from what I normally look like. Who can I approach about getting it done? Also, my nails are short and if I grow them they split. I'd like to have nice nails for the day. but don't want really long false ones, as I'll never cope! Any advice…

So, still at home, still off work, still got a sore ankle. Totally fed up of it all. I feel like such a loser, not able to even go for a walk to the shops. I miss work, I miss people! Not much point to this, but there we go.

I've Made It!

Well, I've made it! I am now a retired lady! They gave me a wonderful send off at school - a farewell party on Thursday night with present and past staff and governors (from my 21 years at the school), and then a special tear jerking assembly with the parents and children on Friday. My house is adorned with cards, flowers and other gifts. Lots of memories but also relief - no more planning, no more Ofsted etc etc. Off to France on Monday for a rest and then the move to Dorset in the summer.
