Easter Bunny
by Guest- 13 replies

We had a great day today when the Easter Bunny ( aka me) arrived at preschool to take the children on an Easter Egg hunt around our local estate. It was lovely and sunny and warm ( especially in a furry rabbit costume ) We followed a map to 5 key environment features where lo and behold a bag of eggs were found. The Easter Bunny waved to all the traffic and has never had so many beeps from cars ( well not since being a teenager). one and a half hours in a bunny suit is certainly very hot but well worth it. My daughter wondered where I got the energy from, it does help that I'm off on my holidays tomorrow See you all in ten days, I shall miss you all an…

The Middle Wife

A friend E-mailed me this - just thought I would share it with you all The "Middle Wife" by an Anonymous Year 1 teacher I've been teaching now for about fifteen years. I have two kids myself, but the best birth story I know is the one I saw in my own Year 1 classroom a few years back. When I was a kid, I loved show-and-tell. So I always have a few sessions with my students. It helps them get over shyness and usually, show-and-tell is pretty tame. Kids bring in pet turtles, model airplanes, pictures of fish they catch, stuff like that. And I never, ever place any boundaries or limitations on them. If they want to lug it in to school and talk about it, they're…

Ironing
by Guest- 23 replies

Sorry if it's a rude question but does anyone have their ironing done for them? Could you give me a ballpark figure of how much you're charged? I find myself in a bit of a tricky position and I need to tactfully try and sort it out. Thank you!

I am sure some of you may already be aware of the in practice website where you can bulk order free leaflets and books for parents on weaning e.t.c. But for those of you who are not thought I would post the info. The only limit is you can only order 25 of each publication each month which is usually plenty. In practice

Hey hum!!!! About three weeks ago i had a bad case of tonsilitus i felt so ill, took one day off work (felt bad for taking one day off) so retuned before completely better. About a week ago i started to feel a bit ill, a bit more tired than usual, light headed and a few headaches, all the kind of things i typically ignore, or just put down to tiredness. Today it came to a head tho and i felt awful (nearly fainted) so made an appointment at doctors, it emerges that i have tonsilitus again, but actually the doctor doesn't think it ever completely went away so it looks like i have had it for ages but just been living with it.... now it fits into place why i have…

Ok I will start this tread and maybe the others will had to it later on. I know you all would like to know how it went. Well 5 of us met up: Rea, Sue R, Mundia, Susan and Beth1(myself). Unforunatey we didn't see Shelley1, hope you had fun anyway. Rea and myself met in the feature/seating area which turned out to be just an area for workshops. We waited for a while, we went for a walk when Sue R rang Rea so we went to met the rest in a resturant. We sat down for a while for a chat then we went and walked around the early years area of the show. Then Rea and myself went up to an area to try and get something for me. Well what I was looking for was not the…

Zoo Lab Disappointment
by Guest- 8 replies
I am sooo disappointed . After reading all the nice comments on the website, I decided that I would phone zoolab to come to the nursery and reception class. We told the children that they were coming. We phoned the day before to make sure that they were coming and to make sure they didnt need anything. They said they were coming. At 8:30 on the morning they phone to say that they cannot come due to staff sickness. First group meant to start at 9:00. You can understand our disappointment. To top it off they said that they could come friday and then cancelled that too so now we have to wait two weeks. All I can say it better be good!!!!!
