Mundia's comment in the Watchman thread got me thinking about what my top ten reads would be. I think To kill a mockingbird is definitely on there although I don't actually have own copy! Also, looking at my bookshelves I think that the ones I read most often and over again are not in the top ten. I read them because I can't 'not read' but much of the time I am too tired to tackle things with more thought involved. I loved Of Mice and Men and A suitable Boy by Vikram Seth was just so satisfying even though it took me a month and I haven't read it again since! I'm going to contemplate what else might be on my list.

I am looking for something to help the children to be able to make their own play dough as and when they want - i saw somewhere some sort of dispenser that would allow the children to get their own flour etc., - any ideas?

To kill a mockingbird is one of my most loved book of all time. Ive read some very mixed reviews about the new, not new, sequel, not sequel, book, but what says you ? Anyone read it yet? Is it worthwhile a read?

Anyone want to share their summer 'to do lists' I know it should be a mile long, but I cant seem to get motivated. I want to get it over and done with as soon as poss  So far I seem to have registers and name tags - both of which are done, but not printed yet - due to last minute changes that always happen  But they are ready. I've totally lost my preschool mojo... so hoping others may inspire me ::1a

Good afternoon all, whilst I have been a long term member on here - I know I don't post much (sorry) I am moving over the weekend and have bitten the bullet at applying for some jobs. Well surprisingly after a couple of "your not the right fit..." I have also now got 3 job interviews lined up! First one tomorrow.... I applied for a nursery assistant job (description same as nursery nurse) but it has come back saying I've been selected for the Nursery Officer job! (The Nursery Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day running and management of the nursery, ensuring the nursery team provide excellent care and education to the children within the nursery.) ekk…

Ok, it's that time of year folks, Time to spend at least a day writing a list of all those jobs we MUST complete over the break. These may include such sundries as decorating, gardening, etc but obviously we must find time for the essential preparation paperwork for next year. We must take timetabling into account, how much time each day should be devoted to the aforementioned paperwork, and what does everyone prefer - have a big blast first thing whilst still in 'work mode' and get it all done or do we have a well earned 'break' and then get down to it all later?

I apologise now for posting this but just need an outlet amongst virtual friends . I have 2 beautiful children from 2 separate fathers , my daughter is 20 and my son 13 . When these relationships broke down I ensured that firm relationships were nurtured and maintained with their dads . I never refused access or holidays and more. Sadly my son has now become more and more estranged from me , I have not seen him for 3 months, he refuses to respond to my texts , calls and today when I dropped off a friends daughter to school he completely ignored me, he and his dad were laughing and I felt so humiliated. This erractic relationship has been going on for over 18 mo…
