I am getting very desperate for a job and now I am consdering any age group and anywhere around where I live, Halifax, Bradford and Huddersfield as long as isn't too far to travel, well theres college work to consider. Basicly I am willing to travel just to work as long as they are willing to consider my college day off and it is ok to work there. Theres not much going in jobs at the moment but I have spotted a job in my local paper for an assisant early years practitioner 25 hours per week but for level 2. I am willing to take a pay cut just to get back into working again i.e. regular paided hours. Should I apply for it, if so what should I say to them. …

I have just been on the OFSTED website to look at recent reports. I was amazed to ssee that three settings, in different areas of the country, have had their last inspections on 26th Feb, 5th March and 7th July 2007!!!!!! These inspectors must have been watching too much Doctor Who and think they are time lords! Linda

Hi everyone, Have been collecting a few resources for a pattern theme when we return to Pre school after half term. I decided to phone a local interior designer on the off chance that they might have some sample fabric/wallpaper books that they didnt need. The lady i spoke to was so lovely she said she was about to throw out lots of fabric samples and we were welcome to come and have a rummage through before she did. Wow is all i can say, i have two big black sacks of the most equisite fabric, some of the samples are full size, i have chintz, voile, textured suede's, leather swatches and lots more. Hello I would just like to thank everyone that has posted advice information and support on this forum. I have soaked it up like a sponge – what would I have done without this site – I have had little to no support from the statutory services. Ofsted help line has been on occasion helpful the only thing is I haven’t always got the same answer, to my enquiries when I ring to confirm, or to enquire further. On Friday we are to be’ Ofsted’ed’ and I wouldn’t have felt ready without the support of this site and not only ready for inspection but all the great ideas and suggestions for resources found here that have gone on to benefit the children who attend our setting. …

As it was the first day back after half term today, we combined the festivals of Shrove Tuesday and the Chinese New Year. After teaching the children how to say the Chinese 'Kung hai fat choy' greeting this morning, I suggested they surprised the dinner ladies by speaking Chinese. As the dinner ladies congregated I said, right everybody can you say Happy New Year in Chinese? They all shouted merrily in unison ...'Happy New Year in Chinese!!!'..The dinner ladies said I walked right into that one!!!

Has anyone out there recorded the final episode of Waking the dead shown on BBC1 on Monday evening? Don't know why but the DVD recorder started and stopped again 1 minute later and so we didn't get it!! Helllpppp!!!!
