My car's supension has just gone on the way back from Weigh in! I will have to put up with public transport for a few days. Its a good job I don't have college on Thursday otherwise that would just be a big nightmare. BTW I have lost 9lbs in 5 weeks. Beth

After being in my current post for over a year I have finally tackled that dreaded area behind the curtain. Would you believe there were 15 bags full of rubbish. The majority of which were worksheets back in the day when Reception and Nursery did lots of worksheets. Found some really useful stuff too - Val Sabin's Action Kids 500 was buried deep behind all those sheets. Was looking at this last week on the web and low and behold I had it all along. Thank goodness I hadn't bought it Finally feel like I am getting on top of things in terms of organising my classroom environment!

Take 6 children to the museum at Henley, but, despite it tipping with rain, will still take sandwiches to have outside! I must be mad!! It may have been freezing cold, but the kids all enjoyed it nevertheless.

way to go to work tommorow without the car. Ooo public transport well a bus or I could walk there and back in the poring rain! It's only down the road say appox 1 -2 miles away, possible 30 mins walking. Me thinks go to the gym, try out new treadmills and work out how long the jurney will take by walking. Oooooo think of the bonus points! Beth

Off To New York!

Unbelievably, I'm off to New York for a long weekend with my husband and two teenagers this weekend...something that's been saved for and booked for a long time as a well deserved treat for us all! I'm sitting looking at a guide book and browsing touristy sites, wondering what we shouldn't miss.....has anyone got any good suggestions for must sees and must dos? I tend to prefer personal recommendations, sometimes the guide books go a bit overboard on attractions that turn out to be a waste of time, money or both?

Me for one !Love the punchlines and can't resist joining in with the phrase 'When you're at the checkout and you hear that beep....!' (bet you finished that line too, didn't you?) My husband's also looking forward to the return of 'Life on Mars'...can you tell it's half term? I've not usually got time for TV so I'm making the most of it!

well it feels like that! Finally got my portfolio together and took it round to my wonderful tutor this evening. She has been great, I've spent the weekend emailing her bits of work and she has emailed back with feedback! So that's a weight off my mind as I have a feeling part of my appeal at the job interview was that I had done this course!! I know they had sent my predecessor on the course so.... I feel a bit lost now! You know when something has been there for so long, when it's finished it's like hmmmm what now? Of course I have a list as long as my arm... keyfiles, planning, housework, deciding what to do with the children we mind tomorrow. Hadn't really thought…

Just adopted a stray alsatian cross -not a little puppy but still young. He's mainly black with tan bits - we're open to name suggestions -If there's any offers. We're hoping to find one that suits him -characteristic wise he's friendly, follows us around the house..........he's here on trial but think he'll pass!
