I have finally got some hours back at with my local sure start creches. I am doing 6 hours next week with hopefully more to come. They are getting very busy from march to july so hopefully I will gain more hours instead of spending my time looking for jobs who really don't want to take me on. I told you it would be a postive 2007! Especally if I mange to gain enough hours to gain working tax credits. Beth

I was at a regional PNS thing and we had some of the managers from some settings who took part in this small scale project in 6 authorities talking about their part in the project. The publication has a lot of useful stuff in it looking at supporting managers in developing practice. Listening to the practitioners was the best bit of the day!!! It's the first case study and the 4 LA materials underneath. http://www.standards.dfes.gov.uk/primary/c...ubject=S_939181 Cx

Please help I need some advice. I want to attend the teaching exbition on Friday 27 April in Manchester for a couple of siminars that look really good and link in with my Foundation Degree course. They are cheaper than normal at the moment and I thought I would take advange of this(runs out on 16 feb). Also last year I attend it too but not the seminars as they were all booked up early. The problem is that I am not working full time at the moment and still looking for a job. If I register for them on that Friday what should I say to propective employers? And would it look good that I am doing some useful CPD courses related to early years? …

I'm so happy so happy indeed because I have yet another interview for a baby room leader in a local DN. My interview is next Friday, they rang me up this morning asking me for an interview. Umm must prepare well for that one and ask the jobcentre for further help such as a work trial! Then they will know how good I am. On top of this I have a good day at college and a busy one at that with new modules : Core skills in the workplace we talked about the Jamie Bulger case for a critical event. ICT boring writing a school trip letter for a portfolio piece. and then Personal development and management module emmm almost fell asleep. late nights…
