I have got yet another interview tommorow for a nursery nurse job , not sure of full details but sounded like a good owner to work for. The nursery has a good reputation. Now I will have to plan out tommorow as it is at lunch time, don't ask why. Oppps I will have to work out how to get my 3 meals in for the day. Well I must prepare the questions for tommorow! Please can I just get a suitable job. I want to work paid not vounary even if I enjoy my school but I have lots of bills to pay. Beth

Today is phase 2 of my interview process for the position of preschoo leader and I am so nervous. I have to meet with the committee and a representative from Sure Start. Fingers crossed I will be ok. If anything it's really made me empathise more with our new starters....can really appreciate how daunting it is for little children coming into a new setting....and I am a 38 year old baby LOL Will let you know how it goes later. Steve - or anyone - I've been encouraging a member of staff to join FSF and she tried to have a look at the contents but couldn't get very far into it at all. Can you just let me know how much she is able to see prior to becoming a member. Even though I have told her how wonderful (and addictive) it is, she wants to see what its like before subscribing. Moving Premises
by Guest- 17 replies

I just wanted to share the fact that the preschool where i work (for the past 5 years) is moving premises to a brand new 'homelodge' in the grounds of the local primary school! Things are very very tight, all the staff are moving the equipment/furniture etc etc tomorrow and we open our doors on Monday!! And some of the tradesmen are still working on it!!!! How strange it will be to not have to move everything in and out of a cuboard every single day!! And we will be able to have sand and water (limited where we are as the dance school use the hall too) and we will be able to display the children's work wherever we like!! How novel!! Jenni x

Relocation To Suffolk

Hey everyone, My partner and I have been thinking of moving to Suffolk for a while now but it has all come to a head now as my partner is in the final stages of sorting out a new job. Whilst I am really excited we currently live over 90 miles away and I am unsure about the best option in terms of my job. I have been teaching Reception for the past three years but not sure whether to apply for teaching jobs or do supply teaching, obviously both have positives and negatives andI was wondering whether anyone has experienced something similar or have any pearls of wisdom? Many thanks Clarew

My Little Boy Is Coming Home
by Guest- 20 replies

He left home at 20 yrs to live with his girlfriend Hayley, after 2 yrs he decided he was too young to settle. Then he met Vanessa, two years living with her and then.............. today I get the call. "Can I come home Mum, we've split up". Picking him up in half an hour. Mixed feelings, although it is him ending the relationship, he is still sad, I feel sad for him too, and Vanessa who is a lovely girl. However, I have missed him, over the last 4 yrs every time I saw him he was with his girlfriend. It used to be just me and him, up to age 12 yrs, when I was a single parent, so in a sense I am looking forward to some me time with him ( is that selfish?…

Funny Things Adults Say!
by Guest- 11 replies

After reading the Funny things kids say section, I though after my experience today I'd share a silly thing I said and hope others would add theirs so I don't look too daft!!! We were shopping today for items for our living room as we are hoping to revamp it. As usual I started wandering into other sections and saying what I would like to buy for our downstairs cloakroom. Looking at a variety of toilets, my husband was pointing out a more expensive one when I said (automatically without realising) 'I don't want to spend so much, I only want a bogstandard toilet' !!!!
