How typical, dont work with children for a few weeks and then end up with Conjunctivitis! How did I manage to catch that, on the postive side it is only a slight infection. Now how I am going to do my coursework, I have lots of reading to do. I can imagine turning up on Thursday and having to explain why I have not been reading, what fun and joy. Well, after weeks of deliberation, I finally made the decision to move on from the pre-school. It was quite easy actually even though I am sad to be leaving the children. The manager failed to get what I was saying about BTTM and basically called me a liar when discussing my 'issues' with the some of the staff. Plus they couldn't accommodate me with the number of hours I need to do for college. I left yesterday and had an interview this morning for a DN. It went quite well I think but I have to go back for the practical part on Monday morning. I was feeling quite down yesterday but now today I'm feeling quite positive. Fingers crossed that this one works out!

I have been on the receiving end of spoof emails twice this week. I am selling an expensive ring on behalf of a friend who doesn't have internet access. Anyway, it sold, and when the email came through, it said the person was from New York. So my friend went off to the post office to find out the postage cost. In the meantime, another email came through from the buyer, saying that they wanted it posted to Nigeria, as it was a present for their friend. This immediately set off alarm bells in my boyfriend, who said that there are lots of Nigerian scams at the moment. i just need to have a bit of a rant At school our head wanted all children to eat in classrooms rather than in the school hall. He did not consult staff about this just said it would be happening as from Monday. 3 of us in our team went to see him and said we weren't sure it would be practical in our reception setting as many of our activities are set up for the day and it would be too much work packing them away and setting back up again after lunch. He also said that 2 of our CSA's would act as lunch supervisors and that all children had to be outside by 12.30. Hi Guys I just thought I would let you know that I have a placement for my FDey course. Thank godness for my Learning Mentor. I will be working in a Foundation Stage Unit on Mondays and Tuesdays until I get a paid job in Childcare. The funny thing is that I have a very good feeling about this, they have already told me what ever I need for my study tasks and portfolilos just ask and we will give it to you. Maybe this is what I need, some stabity in my life for a while then maybe just maybe a part time job will come up in childcare. Ummm it sounds like Beruit around my house. Fireworks going off everywhere. It only Friday oh my what will it sound like on Sunday umm noisey! Oh it too cold to go out and watch them not that theres alot to see. We sometimes go over to Roundhay Park in Leeds to watch their fireworks display. But its too cold tonight. Now this is the time I miss about my old house as we could watch fireworks all weekend without leaving the house. We could see them all going off around Halifax, we lived half way up a hill with lovey views of the area. Oh well this house does have lots of plus points too, being bigger for a start! Beth

Having a great day off - no pre school work to do at home today!!!! Instead I've just made my Christmas Cake listening to the usual Christmas CD - can't believe I'm this organised so soon! Had to share it - feeling quite 'seasonal' especially with the frost outside.
