Today I have been to college , enjoyable day until tutorals. Next week we are doing dance don't ask why!! Anyway I asked about placement hours, we have to do 400 in one year 2 days per week. She said that I had to write down what hours I am doing on placement, but not told me when all my hours have to be in by e.g. June 07. Now this is the problem I can only work on placement Mon/Tues and every other Mon I have to sign on for benefits. Also in schools they only work for so many hours as student e.g. 8.30 til 3.30 term time only. Were as in Children Centres/DN hour vary but usally 7.5 or 8 hour days. :wacko: Now I am better off cancelling school placement…

As some of you may know my computor crashed, good news £45 later, all is restored. Dust in the fan caused it to not start up, once cleaned, all ok My husband and I are new Foster parents, ( a year) We have just received an email saying that we have been matched to have a sibling group of four children, one girl three boys ages between 3 yrs and 12 yrs, + Hopefully they will be with us by christmas, and best of all their care order is that they will stay with us until they reach adulthood, so they won't ever have to be moved again We now await their first visit and transition to our home I am sooooo excited. Its Halloween time! If you go down to the woods today..... well not quite next door neighbours have a teddy bears picinc. Theres lots of bears having a picnic, with gore etc on them. Theres also a Barbie-Q do you get it? A skelton type makain that makes a noise. I wish I could take a photo but I have lost the lead to coneect it to the camera. :wacko: We have not had any children/goules around yet, what the odds on they turn up when we're having tea. Beth

Hi, I have just been shown a photo taken by a photography student at my local upper school, and have been so shocked by it, i felt i must share. It is a photo of a baby approx 12mnths in a pram with a cigarette. A mock up I hear you say, unfortunately not. Apparently this lad was in Bedford Town's Pigeon Square and a mum lit up a fag. Child tried to reach up to fag, so photography student thought this would be an interesting pic. He then continued to take photos when he saw the mother then give the fag to the baby and the photos that I was shown were the baby visably sucking in on the fag and the second photo blowing out. Well as you gathered from Monday I had an for a job. Today I have had another job interview, baby room leader, it went better than yesturday but they are wanting someone who can work the full week, without time off for college, etc. Then another nursery rang up and now I have another job interview for tommorow, could be another senior postion? :wacko: Now I will not have time to go to placement, aagggghhh how I am going to do my assiginments? Hi guys, just thought I would update you on todays (Mon) interview. AAAAGGGGGGHHHHH I did soo badly at the questions, they were asking questions with 3 or 4 sections e.g. what is the value of play, role of the adult and how it fits into the early years curriulum? If you could remember the question along with noisey sandblasting and the eldely club who kept comming into the interview room. :rolleyes: Anyway I will get to know later this week by letter saying weather or not I got it postion.
