This morning we were talking to the children about where different parts of their body were. They were all joining in pointing to the various parts, but one little boy kept saying "Where is my neck? Where is my chin etc". Then he said "Where is my back?"and a little girl shouted out"Behind your belly"!!!! Well she was right!!! Anita

Oh my word I think all the information they gave us as sent my brain in a spin, it been 41/2 hours since I left college and am still in a spinning senstation. The problem is I now feel sick, I think a need a chat or a lie down can't deside. I have too much to do, go shopping, make lunch for tommorow and go to bed. Beth

Hi Just wanted to know if others felt the same way!! I never get home much before 6, with setting up for the next day and last week it was past 7 sometimes!! You just feel totally shattered! I am sure it will get easier and we even had another school visit today - I said you have to appreciate we are in the early stages! The indoors is starting to come together so I will take some pics soon for you all to see. My husband thinks I am mad as I am getting up at 4am and writing lists, the thing is I don't go back to bed. I'm gonna have a couple of glasses of wine tonight, I recommend it if your stressed!

I was looking to see what recycling facilities Birmingham City council offer. They have a link on their site to 'other organisations'. I followed the link, if no telephone number is posted it means 'telephone enquiries not welcomed'. The 2 paper recycling organisations, The British waste paper association and British Paper and Board Industries Federation request that you write to them, one even requests an A4 s.a.e. Drumming up business maybe??

I am very cross. So cross that this should really be written in bright red and capital letters. I have just found out today that the Y1 class (a job share) have completely ignored our heated discussions last year and the transition policy that was written about how the transition between YR and Y1 should be managed. This is a summary of the PLAY (don't make me laugh!) activities that the Y1 children have had today - THEIR FIRST DAY IN Y1: * sand *a zoo set Their other jobs, which the teachers are describing as play are: * cutting holiday pictures out of a catalogue (AARGH!) * ordering number cards * access to books - DEAR GOD ARE THEY MEANT TO BE GRATEFUL FOR TH…

Yesterday was the 1st day in my class of a child with leukeamia. She is in mantainance treatment, so doing okay. It went well and this morning, as I saw her with mum, I approached to ask mum how were things going. She said "Good " and the child jumped very high and hugged me ! I hugged her back and told them "This has made my day! It is the best present I can receive!" Other parents have also communicated that their children are happy to be in my class and our school, so that has given me a great push for the beginning of the school year. I only have a boy who has a lot of difficulties to listen and follow basic rules. He challanges everything, but I alr…

Hello. This is a REALLY long post sp, tanks for reading!! I am writing this as a parent and not a childcare worker!! I am a stressed out mum of one, 2.6 years. As is usual for this age, Natalie is regularly throwing tantrums, seemingly about nothing most of the time. She seems to switch from a little angel into a little horror in a matter of seconds. A prime example of this happened last week. Natalie and I were lounging around on the sofa having cuddles and a chat. Natalie has very good language and communication skills for a child of her age, and is able to form grammatically correct sentences as well as using words in the correct context. I was always under…
