Why is it that I find some long term contracts only to be told I cannot do them because I need day relase to attend training e.g. FD course. I am starting to get little disheartened about all this, not job could me no course for me to attend, maybe I should just forget tring to move up the ladder and leave the proffession all togher like so may have gone before me, some of people I see from college have left because the feel that they cannot find suitable jobs that fit their needs and I am in this same situation. Sorry to rant on but I have tried everything to find another job in childcare. Beth

Author and lecturer, Leo Buscaglia, once talked about a contest he was asked to judge. The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child. The winner was: A four-year-old child, whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman, who had recently lost his wife Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there When his mother asked him what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy just said, "Nothing, I just helped him cry." *************************************************** Teacher Debbie Moon's first graders were discussing a picture of a family. We have a family wedding in Chicago to go to in October, so hubby and I have decided to make a proper holiday of it and go to New York, catch up with my Uncle in Pennsylvania and then go to Chicago for his cousin's wedding. Accomodation with my family and for the wedding is sorted, but with NYC being so big (and expensive from internet searches) I wondered if anyone had any recommendations for good hotels? I promise to post some pictures in the gallery...THANK YOU! RB x

I thought I would make personal and professional reflective diaries for my FD course. I have forgotten how to make them – it’s been 3 years ago since I last had one. I thought the personal one would be useful as no one could see this one only me and the other one for the professional development module. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance Beth P.S. Hope you enjoyed your first day back at work for all those who did.

Just completed my very first day as a real teacher - no longer 'the student'!! I feel really buzzy - it was a really good day, which went reasonable smoothy, apart from the water coming through the ceiling and none flushing toilets!! hehe! Hopefully all will be sorted by tomorrow. Just thought I'd share my news, thanks for all your wonderful ideas, hope everyone else had a good day, Elfy x

I have just spent the last 11 hours at work sorting out the nursery ready for monday because we were burgled last night it makes me so mad and very upset, weve been closed for a week and have done loads of work like painting, laying new floors and generally making the place shine like a new pin and just as we get finished somebody comes along and un does it all im so tired and i feel really guilty because the last day of the holiday was supposed to be a day to spend with my daughter and instead shes been at home all day and ive not been there apart from half an hour at the end of the day. its not fair oh what a day x jojom x
