Lovely Day

Hi everyone, I've just been catching up on the last few days posts. I've had a busy few days in Brighton. My daughter has just Graduated from Uni with a 2.1 with QTS. Graduation Day was Thursday. She has been doing a maternity cover in reception for a few weeks and now has a 1 year contract taking her reception class into year 1. We spent Friday clearing her classroom and making a start on the new one. Saturday was spent helping her move house into a lovely house she is sharing with 2 friends who will also be teaching infants in the Brighton area. Needless to say I'm exhausted now but I've got time to wind down now. Al

Hi well i decided to no longer be a wax virgin lol. and brought some nair easy wax.. have spent the whole week with hairy legs as the hair has to be a week old at least before you can use the wax... so tonight i thought that i would have a break from nursery work and wax my legs.... cautiously i heated the wax and put a strip on my leg then pulled, and ouch!!!! although i must admit not as painful as i thought it could have been..... very messy tho to use and not exactly easy i wouldn't say....i think next time i will get them done at a salon maybe..... still left with semi hairy legs because i ran out of wax... have spilt loads on my bed and bedroom floor..ooppp…

Yesterday at lunch time one of the children burped and said pardon me (very well mannered children we have ) the other little boy (who is well known as a 'troublesome one' (pardon the label) turned to the other child who had burped and said "well done for saying pardon, good girl, I don't have my pardon's with me today, they are in bed. But i do have my scus'mes" (we think he meant excuse me) bless him. This child then went on to ask all children at the table if they had there pardon's or there scus'mes with them.... and all the children actually understood what he was asking..... sometimes i really love the kids i work with and their comments are so so funny at …

Just being nosey ( and avoiding some housework-yes, this is the time of night I do my home-office cleaning!!!) Our preschool parents helped to raise 652 points ( it was our first year, we have 30 families on register) I have ordered the fun gripper target toss , a giant push ball and some light balls. next year I shall start collecting earlier than I did this year and aim to beat my starting score. So how many did you collect and what did you order? Peggy

Has anyone any experience of having a full room plastered and how much it was. I have been stripping wallpaper and chunks od plaster have come off. It now needs skimming off and I have absolutely no idea of how much a plasterer will charge. Thanks - Frustrated DIY person!

Hello Everyone! I am really full of the joys today, which makes a nice change! It's strange writing happy posts when things have been quite difficult lately! Went for the dreaded weigh in yesterday evening. Had cheated all weekend with mexican, chinese and bbq dinners and was amazed to find that I'd lost 2 pounds last week. I am so pleased and it is noticing too! Got 4 and a half pounds to lose before I get my 1 stone award, so feeling very chuffed! Funding for Uni is sorted thanks to wonderful other half! And finally... Certificates are in the post! Wow, after nearly a year working without them, I have passed the dreaded key skills maths exam with 75% so my t…
