Day Three Managers Job

HI So day three as manager, most certanly early day's. Thankfully the deputy has been unbelievably supoprtive so far, which has surprised me. I got to work monday morning to find a huge pile of paperwork on my desk and a million 'to do' lists ~ left by the old manager spent all monday shifting paper from one side of the desk to the other.. at least it made me feel marginally better..... Tuesday seemed a little more productive till i got to a letter about a funded child... this child is only finded for a certain amount and the amount does not cover our fee's so there is a shortfall but the parents have not been made aware of that shortfall so they now owe ra…

Omelettes

Ok, this is really embarrassing! I'm 24 years old and have never cooked an omelette. On my diet, eggs are free foods, so I can eat as many as I like. I fancied making an omelette for a change, but my one and only attempt meant it looked like burnt scrambled egg. Cooking has never been my strong point, but if someone can point me in the right direction for omelette making, I will be ever so grateful! Thanks!

HI we have ants at nursery, (and home) but more so at nursery.... at home we can manage it with ant baits and ant powder, but at nursery we obbviously can't use this method because of the children being around. so any child safe methods to get rid of them? Dawn

Hi thanks to everyone for the OFSTED help the other week. It went ok but feel a bit depressed by it all. Anyway one more thing to do before i break up is hand in my Threshold application. i have been on M6 for 1 year now but my head seems to think you need to be on it for 2! befre you can apply. The union line is shut now so i was just wondering if anyone knew?

We have just decided to 'get away from it all' in September when the schools have gone back (w/b: 9th September) Last year we went to the amazing Bedruthan steps in cornwall. They cater for families so well. eg, inside/outside pool , soft play room, amazing play areas etc etc etc They even have a children's tea room. However, the availability is full for this year so we are now having a hunt for something similar. Do any of you have any ideas. The only thing is that is it must be near the beach. My little one is just discovering the wonders of sand and shallow waters!!! Any suggestions or personal recommendations appreciated. Many thanks Rebecca

I cant log into hotmail, ebay, my bank, or in fact pretty much anything that requires a password adn Im well cheesed off. (No problems here!!) Is anyone else having the same problem? isit just me? If so can anyone really helpful explain why (in really really simple English) so I can correct the situation.... pretty please....

One Week To Go!

Well, I've got one week left and it's all just dawning on me, I'm actually going! Since making the decision to leave, I have had a wonderful time, the pressure's eased and I feel like I did a few years back. Nearly all the record books are done, just got to tweak a few here and there, then that's it! Just going to enjoy giving out their scrap books next week, all full of memories and pictures they have done. Loads of tears while putting them together. We have had such lovely comments written in the record books from the parents. I feel really proud to have been involved with so many children and even more proud of the what they have achieved.
