Hotels In Bath?
by Guest- 3 replies

Can anyone recommend a decent hotel in Bath? It's for my boyfriend's birthday. I don't want a Travel Inn or similar, as we seem to have had a spout of staying in them. On the other hand, I can't go too pricey - even though I'd love to! Any ideas would be much appreciated. I've had a look on the web, but haven't had much luck. All the decent ones seems well expensive, Shelley

Getting Ill

Hi So yeah i love my job, but yep sometimes people get ill. Today i woke with a blinding headache, took painkillers and dragged my arse to work as i was opening up at 7:30 and if i didn't do it no one else would. Headache was still around but not unbearable, well at about 10:30 it came with force, right above one eye felt like i was being stabbed in the head I do occasionallly suffer migraines, but not often enough to warrent me mentioning it at interview..by 11:30 i had had enough and decided i needed to go home (felt sick, vision blurred, and very short tempered cos i was in pain!) so went to manager to explain to her.... she looked at me, said 'we are sho…

Thats better. I've just worked with the biggest bully in the history of the world. I got into my car and put the radio on really loud so I could have a silly moment. I hate her already and came close to telling one child to ignore her. Then I went to my old playgroup and watched children playing freely with adults who like them and respect them and care about them. Also had some toast with the snottiest child in the world. So all in all not a bad day

Feeling Ashamed

This is really horrible and you'll probably all be shocked and disgusted but do you ever have children who you really don't like? I have had nearly a year of a child who has driven my TA and me round the bend - to the extent where my TA doesn't want to come to work. He has a negative effect on the other children in the class and takes up a disproportionate amount of my time when the class as a whole isn't easy. Yesterday he soiled himself and believe me it was everywhere. He complained about the smell (as did everyone else because it was foul) but didn't say it was him. We eventually worked out it was him and had to clear him up by showering him. However, he had …

Possible Trip To Norway
by Guest- 12 replies

Hi everyone Im not sure if this is an appropriate place to put this, so feel free to move it if it belongs elsewhere. The thing is, I am applying for an opportunity to spend 3 weeks teaching in Norway (as a student) and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about the things I could put into the proposal (which states that I should give reasons about why I want to go). I have been looking on the internet to find out about Norway, and while it gives info about the country in general, I cant get a feel for what the education ethos is all about. The thing is, the real reason I want to go is simply to expand my experience, immerse myself in a different teaching…
