I Resigned Today

I started in the pre-school leader post a month ago and I resigned today. During my induction, I saw children left in soiled nappies/pull-ups/pants for up to 45 minutes because the setting's policy was that parents had to come in to change soiled children. I saw this as a BAD policy! In fact, one parent complained (formally) about this during my time in the setting. I proposed a change to the policy (before the complaint) and all staff said that they would not change soiled nappies ("I have a bad back", "I would be sick", "It's too personal", "Our registration doesn't cover it"(!!!), "There would need to be two of us there"). They gave every possible excuse. Howev…

Does anybody have any idea about the new pay structure? we are a small school with: 1 head 1 MA point 2 2 MA point 1 + 1 MA point 1 who is part time 1UPS and 5 mps teachers I am MA1 with curric responsibility but the head has not said what is going to happen and we have no deputy - is it true that the management points are not safe? Head is not very approachable at the minute so thought i would ask if anyone had a clue? thanks xxx

Well I saw the X-Factor post and thought I'd start a dancing one! I love the show. I've been dancing since I was 4 but not ballroom or latin. I really think its going to be a male winner this series, but which one who knows. My favourite from those left is Darren Gough, closely followed by Colin and Bill (despite his dodgy foot!) Be interesting to see who goes on Saturday.

I'm not a great fan of Chico, for those who don't watch it He is a singer in the X factor finals. Tonight he did his own song, with children dancing, beware if it comes out as a single all preschool children will want to play it and dance to it. anyway, his motto tonight was FIND THE CHILD IN YOU, DON'T TAKE LIFE TOO SERIOUSLY, HAVE FUN. I can't argue with that Peggy

Hallo, wasn't too sure which forum to post this on so thought I would just plonk it on here. I've been asked to research accidents that take place in the garden for one of my modules at uni and will have to give a presentation on it. I have to look at types of accidents, how common they are (statistics) how they can be prevented and who by. Not sure if it covers all outdoor accidents, accidents in nursery outdoor areas or just home gardens,as I wasn't at uni this morning just recieved an email about it. Anyway was wondering if anyone knew of any organisations where I could get some leaflets/ info on this. Gonna have a search on the net but wondered if anyone cou…
