The boss of a big company who needed to call one of his employees about an urgent problem with one of the main computers, dialled the employee's home phone number and was greeted with a child's whisper, "Hello." "Is your daddy home?" he asked. "Yes," whispered the small voice. "May I talk with him?" The child whispered, "No." Surprised, and wanting to talk with an adult, the boss asked, "Is your mommy there?" "Yes." "May I talk with her?" Again the small voice whispered, "No." Hoping there was somebody with whom he could leave a message, The boss asked, "Is anybody else there?" "Yes," whispered the child, "a policeman." …

Video And Photographs Of Children

Hello there. I am wondering what policies you all adopt for getting permission from parents to video or photograph their children? Do you ask personal permission from parents in the form of a letter that they sign (opting in) or assume that approval is the default and they then have to state in writing that they DON'T approve? (opting out). We have until recently always done the former, we always produce a letter every year asking for permisson for photos and video of children to be used in school. Most of our parenst are happy with this as long as it is for in school only. A recent event has arisen that would mean photos of children being available very publicl…

Just to let you know that we are now grandparents to identical twin boys - Archie and Max. Our daughter gave birth on Saturday at 1.34 and 1.36pm. They are both in the special care baby unit as they have breathing difficulties but have improved greatly during the last 24 hours. They weighed 4.5lbs and 5.5 lbs - so not too tiny. They are just so gorgeous Sue J

This is nothing to do with work, but when I was in my boyfriends house last night, I lifted down a pot from the top of the cupboards which i hadnt used in a while, and inside was lots of tiny white spiders - so small you could barely see them move. Phoned my mum and she thought they were maggots, but arent maggots like tiny white caterpillars? Then the next day I was lying in bed in my own house and crawling on top of the duvet was a tiny little white thing with a tiny brown head that did look like a tiny caterpillar. Does anyone know what these things are and what I should do? Ive never seen them before. Looked on the internet but didnt get anywhere. Boyfri…

Had an interview yesterday for general assistant with the family learning courses. Just phoned me. I got the job. I'm so excited especially as I thought I'd muffed the interview . I can now access free tutor training while I work alongside the tutors. Always wanted to do it and I just cant speak clearly at the moment. Hubby heard incomprehensible drivel when I phoned him.
