So Nervous, But Excited Too
by Guest- 20 replies

Ok guys, had to write this down somewhere and share with others. I start a new job tomorrow in a SLD/PMLD school and I'm so nervous but also so excited! I can't wait for my new challenge and to get to know the kids and work with them and my team of fabulous TAs. It's going to be so different after being used to working with near 30 kids and lucky to get another adult in the room compared to 8 children with 3 full time TAs plus various therapists working with my class. To anyone else starting a new job, all the best! Nich xx

Had A Lovely Day.

I have had a lovely day today. Started with breakfast in bed, served by my lovely hubby. Went to Kew Gardens to see the Chihuly at Kew exhibition. My hubby bought me a lovely but expensive book, lunch and did not complain, not even a little bit. What a star!

Sorry, i know I'm being selfish here, but have had an awful day. My Mum had a stroke last night, I've spent most of the day in the hospital, have had to tell son and daughter this news about their much-loved Gran and just want to sit down and bawl. Pete (husband) is a star, but Somehow, when you find out your parents aren't invulnerable it's a real shaker!! Don't yet know the prognosis, she's stable right now... Sue

For those of you who still remember me, I am still here and loving motherhood! Sue R - your email made me get off my backside and post (I've been meaning too for weeks!). On 28th May (13 days late!) I gave birth to a baby boy - Thomas. As well as being late - he was a whopper! Weighing 9lb 15oz!!! All natural delivery, bit of gas & air to help, but a very long process (27hrs in total!!). He is such a good baby and is now 11 weeks weighing approx 15lb. He is full of giggles and is such a delight! I can't remember life without him. Sadly, I am back to work in September. Luckily I am doing a job share, so only working Wednesday afternoon and all day Thursday and…

Hi Just wanted to know if anyone else teaches cursive handwriting in Recption. I will be starting in September. They will join up their names and all other letters will be written ready to join. Any advice, stories, etc would be a great help. Thanks Becky
