Well i'm off on holiday today and I will miss you all. We keep a narrowboat in France and i'm off to another pace of liFe - very very slow. I shall have withdrawal symptoms for the first few days but no doubt there will be hundreds of posts to read when I get back. I shall read my Harry Potter, then Archangel, The Foundation Stage Teacher in Action and a biography of Judi Dench. Enjoy yourselves everybody.

Hi all A friend sent me this and as mine are not teenagers yet thought I'd share it with those of you who might have one A father passing by his son's bedroom was astonished to see the bed was nicely made and everything was picked up. Then he saw an envelope propped up prominently on the center of the bed. It was addressed, "Dad." With the worst premonition, he opened the envelope and read the letter with trembling hands: Dear Dad, It is with great regret and sorrow that I'm writing you. I had to elope with my new girlfriend because I wanted to avoid a scene with Mom and you. I've been finding real passion with Joan and she is so nice, even with all he…

Birminghma has been quite badly hit by tornadoes..scary stuff. Whilst I was fed up and miserable at the torrential rain most of which was either in my office, my kitchen or my garage, there were major roof lifting events happening nearby! SO glad I decided to stay home today

My daughter is currently doing a nursing course and needs a definition of the 0-5 age group. It has to be a quote from a book or a government policy document. I have searched through what I have at home but am unable to find anything. Does anybody have anything she could use please? Thank you in anticipation. Linda

Hi Everyone, After Finishing Harry Potter yesterday which marked the official start to my holiday (funny to see that I am not the only one judging by one of the other topics here!) I would like to say the world's biggest 'THANK YOU' to all of the support that I have received from you guys over the past year. From great planning ideas to kind words during some of my various vents I have REALLY appriciate…

Hi I'm looking for ideas to raise money for 'CLIC Sargent' - Caring for children with cancer, titled Yummy Mummy Week. Does anyone have any great ideas? Have just raised £1,600 by toddling so wanted to do something a little different. The event is to be held 16th-25th September, but as I'm away all Summer need to get some ideas together now. Was thinking along the lines of it not being just for nursery parents but also for friends too. Any help, ideas would be appreciated. Thanks Gem

2 of our 3 duck eggs hatched over the weekend. There has been such excitment in reception class today. My daughter had the good sense to do a bit of fliming of the 'hatch' so the children have watched it on my whiteboard this morning. Then the ducklings were presented 'ta da' Isnt nature wonderful? We are keeping them for a week before they are returned to the farm.
