Some of you may have noticed my absence from the forum for the past few weeks, this is because I have been rather ill. I have dragged myself to my computer as I wanted to let you all know that I am going to be a mummy! :D Yes...I am pregnant and overjoyed, but suffering!! I am 8 weeks pregnant and the baby is due on 16th May. I had a scan last week and all is well, it was very emotional. I can't believe that something so tiny can make you so ill!! And who decided to call it 'morning sickness' anyway? Hubby and I are thrilled, it will be our first and we are a bit scared, but looking forward to it! Shelley xx

Hi all - As a result of some well justified pestering, I thought it might be a good idea to clarify the way the forum topic replies are laid out. A lot of confusion has arisen over the 'reply' buttons and how they should be used. This has meant that many posts now have the previous post included as a quote - frequently unintentionally. Here's a brief description of the difference between the two buttons you can find when making your replies. The Big Reply button at the end of a topic screen (or in fact at the beginning just for ease of locating it) - this is a brand new fresh empty box to type your words into .. this should be the "normal" mode if you are replyi…

Hi all My brother sent me this, thought it might be useful to share with you Following the disaster in London . . . East Anglian Ambulance Service have launched a national "In case of Emergency ( ICE ) " campaign with the support of Falklands war hero Simon Weston. The idea is that you store the word " I C E " in your mobile phone address book, and against it enter the number of the person you would want to be contacted "In Case of Emergency". In an emergency situation ambulance and hospital staff will then be able to quickly find out who your next of kin are and be able to contact them. It's so simple that everyone can do it. Please do. Please wi…

The Olympics....7 Years Time
by Guest- 5 replies

Ok, so this is stolen from another forum I go on and it made me laugh so thought I'd share it with you lot. It's taken from a suppliment last week in one of the big newspapers. Seven years on, and the great Olympic day arrives..... Hugo Rifkind looks into the future to see how the London Games might open 2012, and the hot sun rose high in the air over the brand, spanking new Princess Diana Memorial Stadium in the Lower Lea Valley. It was always going to be a scorcher. Thanks to the failure of the 2005 G8 summit to reach a consensus on cutting CO2 emisions, it hadn't rained in England since July 2010. Up in the Royal Box, King William V and Queen Bil…
