Feeling Blue!

I'm feeling really miserable. Last week we had a two day mini inspection by county under the auspices of the new Ofsted criteria. We didn't come off well. In February last year we had a full Ofsted and the lead inspector was an FS specialist and did a special report within the report on FS provision in which we were deemed good or very good in all areas. I've just been told I'm now satisfactory in terms of provision, that I'm not challenging the brighter children enough in writing and maths and that the art session I taught was unsatisfactory. I feel so demoralised and really don't know what to do. I only qualified a couple of years ago on the GTP, having taught Engl…

Yes, yesterday we were congratulating London for the Olympic Games and today we grieve for those who have been affected because of the terrorist attack to the city. May the people affected find peace and those who did this repent and change. United to all of you, SmileyPR

Live 8

My dillema, Do I write up all my ROT's or watch Live 8. I made the right decision. 10 hrs of great music and a fantastic atmosphere, I wish I could have been there. The most significant part of the show for me was when they showed the footage of Live Aid and the little girl in her fathers arms. I remember this poignant picture 20 yrs ago, I cried again as I remembered the dispair. To see Birhan Woldu come onto the stage for the Madonna set was a slap in the face for all the people who said we don't make a difference. Again I cried, but this time for joy. What a beautiful person she is, living proof with a strong message of hope. Don't forget to add your …

Couldnt believe it when I read in Practical Pre-school that from 2008 there is going to be a 'Birth to 5 framework'. It's supposed to link the BBTM and FS. Why didnt they link them in the first place!? Lesley Staggs says it will not involve 'ripping up' the old documents, but it will be a chance to make any necessary changes. I have to say, the way its written makes it sound interesting with really valid aims, but as I'm leaving...Good luck ladies and gentlemen!!
