Wishing everyone a Happy Easter and a nice break to some!!! I am off to see some ex charges and son and new wife in New Zealand!! Come home to last week at preschool (sad) and then exciting move to East Sussex.Have beeen offered one days nanny job but will I miss the comings and goings of preschool??

Hello I have seen a vacancy come up for a Deputy Head in a local school... the want someone to set up a foundation stage unit.... it has really interested me... not 100% sure i want to be a deputy head however. My main reason for posting is that on wednesday I am going to go and have a look around and get a feel for the place and I have been advised to ask lots of questions. What should I be asking??? Any ideas or suggestions welcomed. Thanks Lorna

I've just had a new idea, instead of smiley sticker badges. We use these for "rewards" throughout the session, but I have been aware that some children may not get them as often as others- unfair Last week a child went to my draw and got a sticker for himself and handed them out to other children who thought they should have one Trouble was, most of them ended up on the floor. So, I'm, going to laminate a few, get the children to make a well done necklace, and then these can be worn when deserved. I will have them in a basket for self selection. I will then teach the children that they can award them to themselves and their peers, if they think they deserv…

Hi,everybody Did you notice I was gone Well, computer crashed and is been fixed just yesterday. In mean time I did 4 NVQ Units done (what I wouldn't have done if I could've got on forum)! Me and my family went to Disneyland for my daughter's 3. birthday. I know i promised pictures off redecorated setting but to be honest it will take a while to sett up everything back. HAving been 'off line' since moving house on 11th February i have now returned and i have a million topics to catch up on !!! Will try to sort out the assessment sheets i promised before the move over the easter holidays! Hope everyone is well. i look forward to catching up with all you trials and achievemnets!!! Development of my FS classroom is going really well my stress level has dropped and my Year 1s are finally mking some progress!!! Just easter service in the church to sort out...doing palm sunday with 25 F and YR1 chn any ideas???!!!

Hi all - The new forum software is now in place. there are still a couple of glitches which I'm sorting out as I come across them (yes I know the date sausage has been squashed but we'll have that sorted soon! ) I was going to give you a list of new features straightaway, but my brain is hurting at the moment so I'm going to pick the kids up from school and then carry on. Let me know of any severe problems you might come across, but otherwise you should assume that I'll fix problems like only showing 4 posts on the index page instead of ten very very soon! Also, I know the text in the posts is looking a bit small. I'll finish that very soon as well!
