Anti-virus Software

What anti-virus software do you all use? We have got a new computer (not set up yet!) and we need anti-virus. We used Norton before but it was useless. We had major problems and was told to re-install it but we couldn't because it was already installed and wouldn't let us uninstall it!!!!! I'd be grateful for any suggestions.

The committee gave us a letter to give out to parents today. It states the role of the committee... I seriously dont know what I'm there for anymore. I apparently dont do anything! I dont give out letters, I dont have to be accountable to Ofsted, I dont take fee's, I dont have responsibilty for staff training or appraisals, I dont encourage parents to go on the help rota, I dont organise fundraising, I dont buy new equipment and I dont amend policies either. I turn up at 9am, play till 11.30, go home and do jack. Any parent reading it will think 'I dont fancy joining the committee but the staff job seems like a doddle.' And if any of our commitee are reading this, be ash…

A post on the U5 site asked what people call themselves i.e. Nursery nurse. The poster didnt like the term Nursery Nurse, and I have to admit to not liking it either. What name do you use for the job you do?

"lost" View New Posts

Hi, Can't find which area there was some discussion of Steve updating the forum, and quite a few people commented on "losing" view new posts if they didn't have time to "read" them all before they had to disconnect from the internet. Well, by accident, I disconnected but didn't LOG OUT, when I returned to the forum all "new" posts were still available. I hope this makes sense but I went out, ( to my local) without logging out, just to test my theory, and it worked, 3 hrs later I can find all posts since I last connected to the internet. Bedtime me thinks.. Goodnight Peggy

Hope all the mums are being treated today. I have already had breakfast in bed (a little too early!), some lovely home-made presents and cards and a bath run for me. I've been told I've got the day off, but there's an incredibly big pile of ironing sat waiting to be done. I wonder!!

Need to let off steam with those that will understand. Just had OFSTED but feel it was a real grilling. Two inspectors came for one and half days. Kept manager and myself in office for hours. My side is education and inspector took my planning away and my audit and then proceeded to audit it even further (I don't break down the learning experiences into colours of stepping stones, she did. I only break down into clusters to ensure we deliver a broad curriculum). She was vey pleased with SEN and said it was a strength. Can't go into too much detail as management have only had feedback yesterday and we have not fed back to staff yet. Obviously information is conf…

Message For Brankica

Hi Brankica I noticed you are from Germany, and I was wondering if you could give me some help with something. At the minute I am trying to write an essay on the types of training/teacher education and child care training and professional development early years practitioners receive in Europe and internationally. So, if you would'nt mind me asking you a few questions about your training, let me know. Or if you'd rather not, then that's ok. Hope to hear from you soon Goldilocks
