Yes I know we had mark one of this thread way back in the summer, where we all shared our success stories for the academic year. Well we have loads of new members since then, so I thought we should do it again. It's great to finish the year especially with the run up to Christmas, with a feel good thread. So have a think, what have been your greatest moments in 2004? It could be a succes at work, a new job, or something that has happened at home, anything goes as long as you're happy to share it. And of course, we wouldnt be sharing our acheivements if it was not for the success of the FSF this year, so well done guys for making this the community it is.…

Found this poem on the internet and I felt it was quite fitting to the way I felt in school during this busy christmas time! “TWO FROGS FELL INTO A DEEP CREAM BOWL, ONE WAS AN OPTIMISTIC SOUL, BUT THE OTHER TOOK A GLOOMY VIEW, WE SHALL DROWN HE CRIED, WITHOUT MORE ADO! SO WITH A LAST DESPAIRING CRY, HE FLUNG UP HIS LEGS AND SAID " GOODBYE" SAID THE FROG WITH A MERRY GRIN, I CAN'T GET OUT, BUT I WON'T GIVE IN, I'LL JUST SWIM AROUND TILL MY STRENGTH IS SPENT, THEN I WILL DIE THE MORE CONTENT. BRAVELY HE SWAM TILL IT DID SEEM, HIS STRUGGLING BEGAN TO CHURN THE CREAM, ON TOP OF THE BUTTER AT LAST HE STEPPED, AND OUT OF THE BOWL AT LAST HE LEAPT. WHAT OF T…

Hi, probably not the right forum but I had to tell you what I heard today. My deputy was talking to a reception teacher in the school next to us. She was saying how some friends of hers had incorporated some aspects of Regio Emilia into their classes. This teacher had told the head she would like to do the same, to which he replied 'But what about the SAT's results'. Long way to go me thinks

We all have those people in our families or friendship circles who are completely impossible to buy for at Christmas (it isnt just me ..is it?). Sadly i cant get out to do Christmas shopping this year, so I am having to be a bit creative. In my travels I came across the following sites, what a great idea, make Christmas what it should be! Oxfam good gifts go on, at least go and have a look!

Horrible, horrible moment this morning. One of our moms had a termination on Tuesday, loads of reasons and I genuinely feel sorry for the way her life is. Anyway she bought her daughter to playgroup this morning, daughter was pushing a small buggy with her doll in it. As I open the door to them the buggy started to roll down the path, and I, chasing it shouted out 'oh no, you dont want to lose your baby'. Gutted, had to hide in the kitchen Still dont know if mom heard me, but I think she missed it.

There I was nervously awaiting my OU results due out on Dec 16th for the two courses I did this year as part of the FD. Lo and behold one of the results appeared on line today - a whole week early. I am so happy and now have the new level 4 Certificate in Early Years Practice - all those late nights and rushing to meet deadlines were worth it after all When I was feeling miserable recently when my son left home I came and had a 'moan' so hope its OK to now share some good news (still waiting for the second lot of results mind you !!)

Difficult Behaviour

We have a little boy in our Kindergarten who wont be four until August. He is delightful in many ways, he is extremely bright, very articulate and faultlessly polite. In a 1:1 situation he is a dream - a very rewarding child. However he cannot sit ona chair and he is always hurting other children. He always says sorry and infact he just goes and sits on the naughty chair!! You would expect such a bright child to learn how to behave but he cant help himself. Parents are very supportive, they see the same behaviour at home - he often hurts his little sister but they dont know what else to do. Does anyone have any ideas??
