Back To It!

Well the first day back wasn't as bad as I had expected-I have to admit that I wasn't looking forward to it yesterday. Anyway, only 3 criers, which was less than I had expected! And, I have to say that once I am there I really enjoy it-especially when the children are all so keen to be back. Most of them have had chickenpox over the holidays so they are all very spotty at the moment-which ties in nicely with our topic of patterns!!! Hope everybody else had a good day! Linda

OK second time lucky. I've just written this and it disappeared with the click of a wrong button. I apologise if you see this twice. I am on the verge of filling in an application form for the post of a teacher for pre school special needs children. I have been teaching special needs kids for 10 years so feel fairly qualified, however I have not been teaching reception and this is one of the things under person specification. However, I have taught reception and feel that I do know how to do it and I know about the foundation stage and the profiles etc and feel I could pick this up relatively easily.! An Early Christmas Pressie!

Well I had to let people know that today I was successful in getting a job! I start in January with 20 year 1 children and 10 reception children, including a year 1 boy with severe autism with full time support, so that should very interesting. I'm so excited and just had to tell everyone, and what a brilliant early Christmas pressie! Hope you all have a fab holiday!

Hi All I apologise in advance for this post, but just needed somewhere to offload Today has just been horrendous!!! Started with getting up late - so had to rush the children to school - forgot their lunchboxes and had to come back home and then back to school. Got to nursery to find the front entrance had been smashed again and the pipe under the kitchen sink was leaking!!! Two staff had phoned in sick (we,ve got a bug going round at the moment) The photocopier kept jamming all morning, so couldn't sort out the invoices. During lunch breaks one of the staffs car windows was smashed so we had the police taking statements all afternoon. Another member of …
