I am having a problem with my search engine - Google Chrome - every time I try to do a search another search engine 'kicks in' i.e. 'Safefinder' provided by Yahoo search  . No matter how frequently I click on the home button it is immediately changed to the above. Does anyone have any idea what I can do? I have tried going in to 'settings' then 'manage search engines'; I delete everything except Google Chrome, but it makes no difference! Oops - title should read '... help with a search engine issue'!

Just wanted to say 'thank you' to all you lovely people on here. I've been in Early Years for a good few years teaching Reception, and at Easter fullfilled my dream of having my own nursery, so have found myself moving through different areas of the forum and needing different things at different times, and have always found help on here! The FSF is invaluable - thank you for all that you share and the support you give :1b x

.............a long and very happy retirement :1b (So........having totally 'messed up' and mistakenly decided that Cait wasn't in fact retiring yet - imagine my 'horror' when I discovered that yes she has retired  .......I have apologised to her - would have sent a card at the very least....... then it occured to me that I know she has helped so many forum users in many different ways)...... Decided that we should have thread dedicated to Cait! For me Cait has become a real friend albeit a virtual one - there are not many days that we don't have an email chat :1b and we have shared many highs and lows both professional and personal over the past five years.....…

Hi I have started on the usual clean up exercise for the end of year. All my plastic bricks and playdough toys go straight into the dishwasher. But I was looking at some of the dolls. Poor things have had so many baths in the mud kitchen! Anyway the plastic bodied ones I have put through the dishwasher and they have come up beautifully, but am not sure how the soft bodied and the ones with "real hair" will do. Has anyone tried? What results have you had? I may take them home and put them through washing machine, it may be safer.

Landlord has changed one of the outside doors and I need to find a new alarm to fit it. Preferably battery operated, and NOT one of those that are in two parts which bleeps when the door opens, as the new door fits in an odd way and the emergency push bar is in the way of the door frame if that makes sense? Need one before the O people come back. Nothing's ever simple, is it?
