Hi. I'm posting this on behalf of my students who are finishing their final FdA module at the moment. If you are a teacher or TA could you spare a few minutes to give them some responses please. Moderators if you think it would be better in another forum please feel free to move it as I wasn't sure where best to post. Thank you https://docs.google.com/forms/d/14V2r4eiTtIuK50rjy-BsBbKMrbeGwakOwngOvfKQO5c/viewform

We are having the most appallingly stressful half term! It feels like we are being battered every day by some new problem or other and they are just getting worse all the time. We are going to crawl into the Easter holidays at this rate. But is it just us...?

Not early years related but I know that many of us on here have caring roles with family members with Dementia. Today I went on an hours Dementia Friends information session run by the Alzheimer's Society. I cannot recommend it highly enough, as it gives a basic understanding of dementia and how to begin to support someone living with this disease. The idea is to make people more dementia aware and to build dementia friendly communities. One in three of us will develop dementia. So please spend a few moments reading about it on: www.dementiafriends.org.uk

Has anyone borrowed 'Granny's Teeth'? * I love the idea and have emailed my dentist to ask if he has any spare dentures - I did warn him that this is probably the most bizarre request he has ever received! I await his reply! * See ABC Does

Well, sometimes your day is full of nappies and sometimes it's just fabulous. I bought a second hand saddle stand yesterday, and this morning, we turned it into a free-standing music/sound stand. For just £7, we have a portable sound station! We have hung pots, pans, fflower pots etc from it and it's been an instant hit. and then........................yesterday, my son sent me a message to ask if i wanted him to come down this weekend to make a start on a mud kitchen. I had already bought some old pallets for the job, so i said yes, that would be lovely, thank you. He turned up today with a kit of hammer, drill etc and said he would start pulling the pallets apart, so p…

Just wondered, we now have two children bringing these in, they are stainless steel wide necked thermos flasks. One brings in cold soup - the other brought in spaghetti bol today. When mum picked up, she said she knew there was a trend for these at a local school her older child went to, but was concerned about having meat in the thermos, could it be a breeding ground for bacteria? I have to say I don't really know, but having been on Food Safety courses in the past when we are told food has to be at a certain temperature etc., it has made me wonder whether the spag bol would have been safe today. Before I hit the books/internet, anyone know??
