Recently my posts have been concerning me and my dilemmas at work but as I know there are some of you who have dealt with the ' c ' either recently or previously , I wonder if you can share your feelings thoughts to help me support a friend. My dear friend sadly lost her mum just before Christmas and then herself was diagnosed with grade 3 breast cancer just after Christmas. She has had the lumpectomy and the good news is that it has not spread to her lymph nodes but she has to under go a further op which may result in a mastectomy. She is trying to be positive but obviously struggling to do so. I have suggested she talks to others who have gone through similar experience…

I've just been updating my to do list for tomorrow. There's all sorts of mundane stuff (AfL, planning, minutes etc etc etc), then there's slightly more interesting (prepare potion mixing challenge - a capacity activity for my Y1s) but my favourite... put leaves back up on tree! So, what are the most unlikely/odd/funny things on your to do list? Surely I'm not the only person re-leafing trees?!

Hi all before I put these on free cycle I thought I would see if anyone out there could use these? We are getting rid of them as we have bought new furniture and these are now surplus to requirement. We have 33 chairs (for 3-5 year olds) and about 5 of the tables (there maybe more but I will need to look in the shed on Monday!) You will need a van to collect, preferably by half term if possible. We are based in Birmingham - PM me if you are interested.

I feel tired but blessed on my return to work. It is 22 months since I last worked since battling the big C and subsequent side effects of my treatment. I'm returning part time on reduced duties (ha ha) but it is such a relief. I made a new friend today a very shy boy who normally doesn't speak much he chatted away staff were impressed I was grateful that I hadn't lost my touch. See how I feel by the end of the week!

Morning everyone Sat here thinking (or should I say reflecting!) on my practice at work and wondered what others thought. I like going outside in the rain I don't mind getting sploshed with paint ... or mud ... or Angel Delight (don't ask!) I like being asked to get dressed up for role play I love to read with the children but I really dislike show and tell! Just cannot get inspired with the various items that the children are bringing. This week we were focussing on Elmer and usual request went out to parents to encourage items from home to do with the theme ... and there I sat with the basket full of spiderman, tractors, a doll, a moshi monster and a bead arghh…

Can anyone please point me in the direction of an example of a completed lesson plan please? Preferably for FE? I have an interview on Tuesday and I have to complete a 2 hour lesson plan. I know what I am teaching (have to do a 15 min micro teach) but having never done anything like this before I just need a bit of inspiration! Many Thanks

Wet day. Shy girl. Bon Jovi is chosen as this morning's music. Result??? Unbelievable! Girl pops up with 'Daddy has got this on his phone!'......then starts dancing with another child, swinging her skirt and swaying, laughing her head off. I KNEW there were lots of reasons to love Bon Jovi
