Apologies for this long and convoluted post but I need a bit of advice/support about a conversation I've just had with a friend about domestic violence in his friends' relationship. He is a mutual friend of a couple who have recently separated. My friend started by asking me to keep anything he said confidential (I don't know the couple) and although I agreed to that, I did say that if there was any concern about a child protection issue, then I would be very direct about what I thought he should do. He said there was no danger to the children, and so he proceeded. There children continue to live with their mother following their father's departure and she has con…

Hello, well i returned to work yesterday after a years maternity leave with my little boy Isaac I had already been forwarned that the room i was returning to was a mess etc..... well i got there yesterday and staff morale in the room is utterly terrible. i had an awful day, Isaac had a long day at nursery and i spent all of one hour with Isaac (30 mins am and 30 mins pm) both centered around getting him up / putting him to bed...... i felt bad, could not eat or sleep last night. I spoke with my husband and we decided we do not want the long nursery days for Isaac and i truely do not want to be away from him so we decided that after one day i was going to give my n…

This photo? I'd love to know what George Osborne's 'friend' is really thinking! Look at the last photo in the set.

Today will see the sentencing of the parents of Daniel - another child to die at the hands of his parent - the school were said to know he scavenged from bins , he was half the weight he should have been , was left in squalor and had many bruises and previous injuries and yet again he was failed by society/authorities . admittedly I have not investigated thoroughly all the details but again it emphasises how important it is to all be working together and if in doubt 'SHOUT' and keep shouting if you suspect any neglect , abuse etc another little angel in heaven x

I decided to have some more babies - my 2 kittens - one gorgeous ginger boy and one black girl from the RSPCA - yes they cost £100 each but so worth it and all jabs, neutering etc covered in the price and i have the wonderful feeling that i have been able to give a forever home to abandoned animals. So we get them home and they are so wonderful - sadly my older cat is not too impressed but she forgets she was in the same position once ! we have struggled over names and feel we may have finally decided - Bella for the girl and Jango for the boy but could possibly change to Leo or Romeo - they all end in 'o' so guessing whatever one of those we call him he will respo…

Ok i know it has been soooo hot today but i was loosing the will to be polite by 09.20!!!!! We hire our hall & have use of the kitchen. The kitchen has just been awarded 5 stars which invovled a lot of hard work to achieve. Today the repair man arrived with the church lady to fix the dishwasher at 09.00, this is our 1st entry time so i am greeting families, as i move church lady catches me to tell me handbags etc must not be placed on the side work top as they will contaminate the work surface, i apologise & remind her that she & lovely work man was blocking the way so all is forgiven.......... untill the children's lunch boxes start to arrive at the kitchen …
