We have had 10 chicks hatch this week - from the 12 incubated eggs!!!! The children (and staff) have been SO excited - it was just amazing. We were lucky enough to watch 1 chick hatch from its shell.  Just had to share my excitement.

I've been reading a bit about the proposed day of action to take Ms Truss on at her own game, and to take back some level of control in the current debate. I was wondering if any of you know of anything that has been organised, and whether you were planning to get involved, and whether we could form a Forum contingent to take part? We have so much passion, knowledge and experience here that it seems a shame only we get to know how brilliant we all are. Maybe it is time to show the world what we're made of.

A cautionary tale......... My dear old mum (91 years old) received a 'phone call this morning - supposedly from BT.........offering to help her to stop nuisance calls - to do this they required her credit card details........I don't need to go on do I? I am so surprised at my mum - she may be old but she is far from silly.........I suppose these 'fraudsters' are just so clever...... I hope, hope, hope that we managed to stop the card in time....... Anyway - I know that lots of you lovely forum folks have elderly relatives - perhaps it would be an idea to remind them not to give details like this over the phone.

I run an 'Infant choir' for the last 6 weeks of the summer term - actually it's Y1-Y3 and also organise a Singalong for the same year groups plus my reception children. I'm looking for some new songs. In the past I've downloaded a variety of songs from the Sing up website but we no longer have membership. Has anyone got suggestions for good, general song books (that might come with a CD!) that I could look in to ordering?

Hi wise ones. We have been offering a varied selection of fruit and vegetables within our snack time, which is proving very time consuming in serving it out. To aid self skills and independence I would like to purchase a salad bar style trolley where children can come up and self select from the options on offer. Have found one on Norseman direct but wondered if anyone else uses one similar and where it was purchased. Many thanks in advance for any thoughts.
