My apologies for the cheek of this request!!!! I am having extreme trouble getting my head to get into gear. I want to produce a check list/to do list for my inspection preparations, obviously I shall be auditing the standards and making sure they are all in place and where the info can be found, I suppose this could go as a separate info sheet for an inspector to find everything too, but what else would I add to this "check list" to make sure I have it in place? Has anyone done anything similar - I've obviously done this in the past - but can I find anything on the computer - no - I feel a rise in panic at the moment!  and have been procrastinati…

So.......having spent most of the day hiding from the horrible weather re-writing my SEF.........I remembered that my gorgeous grandson is off to France on Sunday - wanted to give him a little spending money.....so off I went to the Post Office where I asked to buy some - wait for it..........francs  couldn't think why the lady behind the counter was looking at me so strangely and made things even worse by saying "I can buy francs here can't I" Oh dear!

Just out of curiousity I thought it would be interesting to hear others views on this as I don't have children and am pretty hardline with rules in my house with families children etc. To be crystal clear I am not talking about discipline with children in our settings!! just family children or your own etc. Have never been a fan of smacking personally and would agree that the woman in boots was wrong to smack the girl but would just a telling off from the boots lady have been ok or do you take offence to other people disciplining your child? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2303632/Shona-Sibary-If-stranger-smacked-child-naughty-Id-thank-As-mother-protests-Boot…

I sometimes (often) feel like I haven't got it right with my class but today had a lovely moment I wanted to share. This morning we'd talked about the different Easter jobs we had to do today. When everyone set off one little boy went straight to his favourite construction area. A short while later he came back with a red mobilo layer and then two short yellow pieces joined together - look I've made a chick and its nest! A short while later he appears again with a bigger triangle made of yellow - now there's a mummy chick, because it's bigger. We took photos. A further reappearance - with 2 more chicks: one big and one small. Now I have a daddy too and this one co…
