We have chosen to start the new term by focusing on 'superheroes' and vaguely linking it will 'all about me' and the skills we have, how we look etc. Has anyone got any ideas what we could turn the role play area into? We are a packaway setting so it will need to be easy to set up/put away each day. Also, can you recommend any good books for this topic or activity ideas that have worked well. We have children aged 2-4yrs. Thanks :1b

The boys in my class are a little (!) unkeen to write, but are very keen on making superhero models and pretending to be superheroes. I want to turn an outdoor role play into a superhero scenario and turn our graphics area into a superheroes office- but am a bit stuck what to put in there!! I'm going to ask the children on Monday for their ideas, but wanted to know if anyone on this great site had any ideas! Thanks, Sian

Hi I am helping in a foundation preschool room and due to us having alot of boys and gilrs who just want to play rough and tumble and be superheroes I would like this to become part of the planning for the next few weeks depending on the children's intrest. I have spoken to the staff in the room who are quite excited to give it a go. The manager how ever is alittle unsure. Hi everyone, Saturday morning and I'm planning (so that I can have a restful Mother's day!) we are having a superhero day next week (reception) the children will be coming in dressed as superheroes and I have in mind to have a rotation of challenges for the children in the morning. I will have 3 aduts including myself. I'm looking to have 4 activities to rotate around (1 independent) but I'm struggling to come up with inspiration and wondered if anyone has any ideas. One challenge will be to rescue teddy from the outside area avoiding the laser beams (red wool wrapped around outside area) any ideas welcome! deb
