   Hi there does anyone have any used mtps for this topic, have read the last post but just wondered if anyone has any planning to share to start me off??? I know the usual e.g. invite the firefighters etc but stuck on some good and different ideas for Creative dev and KUW. thought about some lovely large scale collage work as it is only a short topic????? thanks guys, will post when have something to share.....dont like to plan too far in advance but am due ofsted so would be nice to get some different ideas thanks

   I am trying this term to go with the interests of the children, and I have a class of 15 boys and 7 girls and most of my boys are really interested in Power rangers at the moment. They have already been making wristbands out of paper that shoot people and zap special powers. I would like to take this as a theme and go with it, but I have no ideas at all really and dont know much about power rangers. What texts could I use, what writing could I do, any ideas for role play area? Any help would be very grateful Thanks

   has anyone ever planned in a superhero topic? our children are absolutely mad about superheroes this year (girls and boys) so we've planned in a topic for after half term... just wondered if anyone had done it before and has any ideas. we're going to do a lot of comic book work, and comparing the comics to the films... I also want to look at how the sound effects in films create mood and try overlaying different soundtracks to action sequences to see what the children think!

   OK, I'm in the final stages of writing my new book and I've realised that I am out of touch with the UK 'craze' scene! I"m after examples of Superheroes who are female and positive for a story about superhero play and what is appropriate and inappropriate. Is Dora the Explorer a superhero? Is she popular and well known in the UK? Ideas welcome! American crazes are often so different and I dont want to mention some characters that nobody in Britain has even heard of! What are your rules about Superhero type play? Any particular games banned? Limits? Gender issues? I know how things move on with crazes and I'm sure all the games our nursery children played are …
