Hi Well been to my new pre-school this morning to check things out for Sept! They are thinking of getting an interctive whiteboard and have asked me (as IT expert ) to check a few things out. Never used one in my life so wondered what others use them for, which is best, software etc etc Heeelllllpppppp!!!

Storing Photos

I am sorting photos of outdoor environments - they dont have children on them! I have never copied photos from my computer to a cd before and just need to ask a question. I have copied them all and then a balloon came up on comp saying I had files that needed to be written onto cd. When I clicked on to write them it said there isnt enough space. I have re inserted the disc and checked if my photos are there - they are so why do i need to write them and why is there not enough room? Thanks

we are lucky to be having a new computer suite installed but the logistics are beginning to give me more than a headache. IF you have done this recently, how or where were your old machines disposed of? RM told me they would take them away but when Ive enquired about the nitty gritty of that, a £4 charge per item is going to be levied---thats a considerable sum of money that I would like to avoid if possible!

Hi All, Just wanted to know if anyone has a package they use in their Reception/Nursery classes that is good. I have been offered some funds to install Visualiser, Smartboard or Interactive Whiteboard in the classes. I have never worked with any of this equipment, so need some advice as to what is the best thing/things to get? I have a precious opportunity and want to make a wise investment. I'm grateful for any feedback/experiences/advice you can give. Thanks in advance Crackers x

Please, please can someone help me? I need to start on these dreadful learning and development files and want to do them on my pc rather than by hand, but for some reason I'm unable to type onto the document, which is an adobe file. I've already wasted half an hour trying differnt ways of saving the document but am having no joy. Any ideas on this horrid wet day? Sam

Can anybody remember the name of the stall that was selling the story book with a "pen" that you could either use the pre-recorded stories, or record yourself reading the stories? and you had to tap the patch on the book, a bit like the LeapFrog Tap systems? I'm writing about how to best use ICT in multilingual settings and really not having much luck!! So if anyone has any pointers they'd be much appreciated! Thank you

I wonder if anyone could advise me. I am looking to purchase new ICT for 2-3 year olds that share the same environment. Could anyone suggest any software/pc or equipment that they would reccommend? I want something that is robust for the 2 year olds to play with and challenging for the 3 year olds. Hope you can help.
