For those of you who are in schools, can you describe the facilities in your suite please and are they appropriate for FS? I have just inherited ICT coord role and have a suite which desparetley needs updating if only because everything is going wrong. We are a small infant school and it must be attractive enough to get the ICT phobic reception teacher in there with her children as well as usable for KS1. At the moment ICT in school is very much an after thought and that profile needs to change. Thanks.

I'm looking to buy some new computer software for use by 3 and 4 year olds in a pre-school setting and wonder whether anyone can suggest anything they have found to be particularly good for this age group? Also we have a laptop and was wondering whether it is worth buying a child friendly lower case keyboard for the children to explore, perhaps using word or something similar. Any suggestions anyone?

Hello all, I am looking into buying a printer for our pre-school. We use a laptop at the moment because it is easier to store/pack away in our limited storage space. I will still be doing most of the paperwork at home on my pc so the one at pre-school will be mainly used to print out photo's as we go along - thus making it easier for us to stick them in the children's learning journey books straight away. Anyway - my main question is -can anyone recommend a printer that uses relatively cheap printer ink? My printer at home is very good but the ink costs around £12-£15! I used to have a printer that used ink that I could buy from Tesco's for about £3.99 which was fab. …

Hi folks we are looking to purcahse some digital photo frames- possibly 7" (one for each of our 4 family groups). We take so many photos that the children don't get to see we thought it would a be a really useful tool to reflet on learning and enable the children to plan their next steps by reviewing their day/week in pictures. We are also thinking about getting a larger one for he parents wainting area. I know many schools now are buying plasma screens but thought these are relatively inexpensive. Does anyone use them and how? What is the best type to get? There are so many on the market, knowing which to get is confusing! I'd like to be sure that the quality of pi…

Recording Children Singing Onto A Cd

As part of my HT retirement assembly my class have made up a lovely song and I have even learnt to play guitar to accompany the song (never played before!). I thought it would be a nice idea to record the song onto CD for my HT to play back in the years to come however am unsure how to do this? Has anyone had experience of doing this before? I've previously recorded children's voices on powerpoint to accompany the slide show but not sure how to just record a song? I've got an extermal micrpohone (USB) that will record but what program should I use? Thank you
