Hi, we are a pre-school in a church hall, i can't decide whether to invest in a computer which we will have to push in and out of the cupboard everyday, a couple of laptops, or spend the money on something else to cover ICT in the pre-school, just wondered what others do and what ideas you had... I don't want to make the wrong decision..... How do you cover ICT in your building when you have to tidy away all the time, this is an area we have to impove for ofsted as well......

Elearning Credits 1 2
by Guest- 31 replies

Hi folks - don't let me down please . . . 2 Questions 1. Have got to use up my eLearning Credits (about £200 worth) - has anyone any good suggestions? 2. I have sent an email to Curriculum Online 2 weeks ago asking whether or not I can spend them on catalogue resources with the CO logo, even if the resource isn't advertised on the Curriculum Online website? - but had no reply. I had heard that eLcredits's could only be spent through what was actually recommended on the 'official' Curriculum Online website? Some magazines and catalogues advertise items with the logo, but they are not included on the website (eg Scholastic early years) Does anyone know the answer? Will…

I remember using an attachment for a musical reindeer band a couple of years ago. I think it was possibly Peggy who introduced it to us. Basically, it was an animated scene with Father Christmas and his reindeer stood on the rooftops. Each reindeer you clicked on played a different instrument and they sang along to "We wish you a merry christmas". My children loved it at the time, and now I have an IWB it would be great, but now I cannot find a link for it. Does anyone know the website it came from, or can add it as an attachment. I found Peggy's original post, but the attachment has gone.

Early Vision Role Play
by Guest- 7 replies

Hi Just got notification of our e-learning credits today and have been looking through the Early Vision catalogue. They look really good but a couple of years ago I spent all of our credits on something very similar which were absolutely useless. So before I go and spend this money has anyone got the cd's from early Vision and are they any good? They look great and would really add a little extra to our role play. All comments would be very much appreciated! Thanks p.s. their website is www.earlyvision.co.uk - unfortunately I'm not able to do any of those fancy links to it!

Windows is asking to do 2 updates : Microsoft .NET Frameworks 1 and 2... although I also had version 3. The 1st time I did today's updates... when they finished... I did what Windows asked, to 'restart' with those 'yes' and 'no/later' buttons. Then that yellow shield icon on the bottom tootbar kept coming up after the PC had restarted. I thought they were 2 more updates, but they were the same and it said they failed. So I tried again and again and nothing . So, I decided to do a manual restart. In that moment I saw that the for the updates to take place one had to "Shut down" and not "Restart". I did so and it had a screen like when it is shutting down, …
