Large Mouse Mat?

The problem I have with the children using the computer is them keeping the mouse on the mat. This is a problem especially if I want to let them get on with something on their own-usually later in the year. I constantly have to go back to help because they have gone off the mat and they don't always realise what the problem is. I wondered if anybody has or knows of a large mat or has a solution to this one? Thanks Linda

Ive just agreed in my performance managment cycle that I will develop the use of powerpoint for stories in the FS. (school focus is reading). Must have been a moment of madness. I do rememebr coming across a site that gave lots of downloadable stuff generally, but have no clue what it was. Any ideas anyone, or you any of you ICT experts out ther have experience of using powerpoint in this way?

Calling all you Techsperts out there I have a real player sound file that I want to put onto my Power point. When i do the usual insert sound from files palava it won't let me do it. A message comes up saying Powerpoint couldn't insert a sound file from the selected file. I've inserted sound lots of times before but they have always been as WAV files. Has anyone got any ideas how to convert my music clip into something accessible for my power point? heres hoping someone can teach me liza

[ Hello am currently undertaking my dissertation as part of my teacher training. I've just spent this week in a reception class looking at the skills that chidlren have in using ICT. I wondered if any one out there could give me a brief overview of how they develop children's ict skills. I've got a lot out of this week in school but feel I need to here how others are doing to get a broader picture. I'd be especially interested in how this is done in nursery. Thank you Pinkster

Has anybody got or had experience of the 2 Simple Music Toolkit? I have had some info about it today through the post. It says it is for Foundation Stage, KS1 and 2 so I wondered if it would be suitable for the 4 year olds in our pre-school? We have the 2 simple toolkit and the children love it-just wonderd about this one. It says it is new so there might not be anybody out there with it yet. Linda
