Hello all I am thinking about adding a blog to our VLE. Having never done anything like it before I wondered if anyone has any advice to offer about best software, blogs suitable for EY settings etc. I don't really want to pay but don't want it to have adverts on - something that is safe to use. HI, In my new nursery we are lucky enough to have a lovely IT room with computers in so that we can take the children out for small focused activities. yesterday i took two boys down (both three years) to play games on cbeebies..... gee whizz, it was hard work, neither child grasped the concept of clicking the correct button on the mouse, or moving the mouse to move the cursor on the screen. Despite showing them over and over again!..... I know they are only little - i then brought three girls down and we had the same struggles. Hi Folks, I am finally getting on board the ICT bus after managing without even a mobile phone thus far in my life. Will have an ipad in my new Reception job. Am getting a laptop, have a mac PC at home. Am planning to get an iphone.Already have an i-pod. What wonderful things will I be able to do with these devices e.g transfering stuff from one thing to another (using a cloud perhaps?) And anything particuarly pertinent to Reception? What I am really rubbish at on my current work laptop is organising things. I am always downloading things form here or elsewhere on net, finding useful websites etc. but can never find where I've put stuff. I know, I know.…

Anyone else finding the new 7 area Eyfs more technically challenging than the previous neat and tidy 6 areas? I am trying to make a table for my medium term plan format. i want it to be 3 boxes in the left hand column but 4 in the right. Can't seem to do it and be able to distribute the boxes evenly as well. wasted half an hour trying. Will send a virtual Mars bar to anyone who can help...

Hi everyone, Forgive me if this already exists but I have been given an I pad to use over the summer as we are going to be using them in school next year. Over the summer i need to investigate and find the best apps to use with the children and I was wondering if there was a forum on here where people share the best and most useful education apps to save everyone time and money. If this already exists can someone direct me to it if it doesn't can I start it by recommending the app hairy letters!! Hoping to hear your recommendations over the summer!
