Hi! I am just going into my second year of teaching (reception) and on an NQT course, back in June, we were introduced to the Sally Featherstone Little Books with Big Ideas. e.g. outdoor play, maths activities, messy play...They look really good (and so simple) but when I search for them they are singular. I want the set!! Any idea where to get them...or if anybody has them...do you like them? Thanks!!

I am looking to borrow two books for over the summer holidays and they are not available in any of my local libraries. I am trying to get some information for my research project so don't really want to spend a fortune if I decide not to go down this route! I am looking for: The Company they Keep: Friendships in Childhood and Adolescence, William Bukowski, 1996 and Friends and Enemies: Peer Relations and Friendships in Childhood, Barry Schneider (I don't know the date of this one) I was wondering if anybody had these books and if it would be possible to borrow them over the summer? The college library is closed all over the holidays and my university c…

I've come across a couple of people lately who (strangley) weren't aware the new installment of Harry Potter is out on March 16th, (pre-ordered mine in December) so I thought I'd make it known to others Happy reading That is unless there are squabbles over who reads it first.

Hi. I was looking last night at the official Eric Carle website (you can find it here by the way) I never knew the Hungry Caterpillar and Brown bear were written in the 1960s!! I also wasn't aware of half the books, but one that particularly caught my attention was 'panda bear panda bear what do you see?'. Has anyone ever used it? The other one that caught my eye was 'draw me star'..I don't know that one either. (showing my ignorance here). Anyone used that one recently? Now I'm beginning to wonder why you cant buy and eric carle collection...

Can anyone help with where I can buy this? Or even, have I got the title right? I've searched Amazon and Waterstones so presume I've got the name wrong.

Pre-school Learning Alliance Play Series

A few years ago I had a really good set of books published by the PLA - each one was about a different play activity, e.g. sand, water, clay and dough, and the book covered eveything to do with that activity and had great little diagrams and illustrations of the learning opportunities created by providing that activity. Unfortunately I lent them to someone and they were never returned...and now I really want them!! I've looked for them on the website but they don't seem to do them anymore. Does anyone know where I can get hold of them or has anyone got them and could give me more details to search with, e.g. ISBN numbers?

Hi all, A while ago our very own Susan and Mundia recommended a book to me, which, having just finished, I felt the need to pass on to the rest of you. Apologies if this is already one of your favourite books! It's a book called 'Watching the English' by Kate Fox, and I found it interesting, perceptive and extremely funny! But you have to be able to poke fun at yourself!!!!! Let me know what you think Sue
