Hi again everyone... I'm just about finished with my dissertation (after a disaster when I was told I had done just about all of it wrong!) so I won't bother you as much soon!! Anyway, I'm just writing about a lovely area I developed under the stairs in my setting ad I wanted to link it to something about how important private spaces to play are... But I can't seem to find anything online or in my library catalogue, and I can't recall the reading I did four years ago... Does anyone happen to know of anything that might help me? P.S. I've put an acknowledgement on my title page, to all on the FSF, thanking you all for your help... Although you probably won…

Hi all. I hope that the many brains out there of a variety of ages and stages can hep. I need a avriety of 'Quality texts', to read and use with reception to year 3 children next september around the theme of walk on the wild side to fit in with birds (year3) the gruffalo and light and dark (year 2) and not sure about year 1. This is a new thing for the school to let me do, but I cannot see how to teach 3 year groups who do 3 different topics. I teach in a SSC for children withnspeech and langauge difficulties who are integrated when the curriculum suits, but not for literacy if the langauge difficulties are too complex? Clear???!!!!! Any suggestions anyone…

I was wondering if anyone has used these range of books by Nicola Call and Sally Featherstone. If so what are they like are they useful and how do they help? They look interesting and I love any books that help to inspire new ideas within our Reception class. the reviews look quite inpressive anyhow.

A five-year old child in my care will shortly be going into hospital for ear surgery. I'v had a look on Amazon for books which might help to introduce the subject, particularly the idea of going to sleep while they do it but I couldn't see one which clearly fitted the bill. Has anyone found a book which is particularly good?
