Hi all, Any ideas of how to make sustained shared thinking training fun , practical and interactive? Keeping it short snappy and covering what SST looks like for the different ages / stages of children. Many thanks

I need a new outdoor banner as ours got ripped off the fence in the high winds recently. The one I had was from Vistaprint and it was our second one, but they just don't last. Any recommendations please?

A parent just asked if we use the term 'kind hands', as she has heard her child use it at home. She wrote that she has "some queries about it". I replied that I would be very interested in hearing which they are. Does anyone see anything that could cause any concern?

Making Spaces in Packaway setting?

Hi We are a packaway preschool in a shared-use hall - absolutely everything must go away at the end of the session. I would like to have an area for the children, but in particular our 4 year olds to be able to do more focused activities (we've not had 4 year olds before!) and wondered if anyone has any suggestions for dividers that are easy to move and store - and don't take up much room? We don't have a huge budget, but might be able to get some funding from our local village trust. Thanks!

We are fortunate and unfortunate to have way too many toys and have decided to have a cull, of course they will be sold or given to charity . I would like our setting to have more imaginative resources to inspire staff and children , I already model this but find that mostly it's the same old thing . If you had a wish list of essential items / resources what would they be . Thanks

Hi all, I'm after some advice! we have a small garden that is shared by babies and preschoolers, at the same time...now that the weather is good both rooms are out most of the day. Because of the limited space to begin with, it is difficult to have certain equipment out for preschoolers e.g bikes, obstacle courses as there are often baby mats, toys and babies crawling around. Preschool room are getting frustrated at this now and baby staff are on edge. For example, there was a nature tray out for preschoolers with soil, twigs, sticks etc that the babies kept coming to and playing with which worried baby staff. Preschool only have 3 bikes to begin with. how can we …

Hi I had a meeting with parents about our Fun Morning to be held on the last day of term and two fresh ideas came up. A mum has a pony and is willing to offer pony rides on the morning to the children. We had pony rides many, many, many years ago before stricter assessments, policies etc were around... and I mean many years ago!! Also another mother has offered to hire a bouncy castle for us. What do you think about these two ideas? The Pre-school children are aged 2-5 years. We have been trying to think of different ideas for children's stalls for raising fun. So far we have "Lucky cups", a beautiful soft toy tombola - a prize every time - they pick out a name…

Hi I just wondered if anyone has ever done a leavers play for children to show parents? Thinking of doing one this year but can't find a play to accommodate lots of children. Any ideas?
