New starters in nursery - planning

Hi, I'm new to teaching nursery and have been in class since September when most of the children were returners from the previous year. There are a lot of new children starting nursery and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed at how to plan to narrow the gaps - the needs in the class are really wide, with the older chn accessing some of reception acitivities ready for starting school and some children just turned three with limited language. Any ideas to do with organisation, planning etc would help! Thanks

I am leaving my school after eleven years as Nursery teacher and EYFS leader. I would like to leave a little bit of me behind, so to speak! Any good ideas??? Not too keen on a plant or tree as I don't trust anyone to remember to water it!

We are looking to introduce peer to peer observation for the staff, we have been doing this with room supervisors but believe if all team members do peer observations it will help with their individual development. Has anyone a template that we could use? Thanks

Well thats over! Went well really, but first had to call my Manager back from an Integrated Health Meeting!! She thought I was JOKING!! Nooooo! Mrs O was very affable - the whole inspection was pretty relaxed. She was very focused on the quality of teaching and unfortunately picked us up on a couple of 'missed opportunities'. However she was very complimentary about our setting, empathised with the trials of being a packaway setting and said quote: If there was a Very Good judgement then you would have it! (if only)! So we are Good and I'm content with that! She also said we don't need to keep the judgement quiet until the report comes out anymore.... So your t…
