We have a student doing a placement with us and she has a really bad B.O problem. Any one have any ideas how to tell her. She is making the whole room smell really bad. I don't like using lots of air freshner. She is with us untill next July so we have the worst to come. We are outside for a good part of the day but I can't make her stay out for more than her fair share of the time. Any ideas gratefully received.

Just found this on Twitter - the DCSF has published its plans for the shake up of Primary education following Jim Rose's review. It includes giving parents the option of sending their child to school in the September following their fourth birthay. When they get to school, the Government is promising "a more flexible, more locally determined curriculum will still focus on the basics", and that "teachers will have more freedom to use their professional judgement and creativity to make links between subjects that make sense to their pupils: from linking history to the arts, or science to PE" I'm particularly interested in children going to school in the September f…

These concerns were in relation to the risk of staff becoming distracted from their work with children when using their mobile phones and the inappropriate use of mobile phone cameras. This note…

Hi there everyone, I wasn't quite sure where to post this query so apologies if it is in the wrong area. I am currently working as a nanny and one of the children I look after is 8 years old. She wets the bed at least once a month mimimum but can be as often as 2-3 times a week. I know that on the times that is is less common it is not really unusual but when would you normally expect it to stop completely. Also probably worth mentioning that during the summer holidays she had no wet beds. She is one of the youngest in her year and I know that she doesn't find school particularly easy, however I think a lot of this is due to her attitude, she has very low self es…

Hi all The use of photos has been something of a hot topic of late, so thought I would share some feedback....this is comment from a parent....added to her son's Learning Journey folder........ 4th Nov.'09 Once again I am totally amazed at the range of activities xxxx takes part in at pre-school, it is amazing. He really enjoys telling us what he has been doing and his vocabulary is great. The use of photos to bring your comments to life is brilliant. They show xxxx with so many of his peers as well as with you, xxxxxx and xxxxxx, they really show how very comfortable xxxx is at pre-school, he is totally relaxed and so all his learning is great fun. …

I've just read one of Inge's posts on another forum about planning for festivals throughout the year and I wondered if there is a site which tells you which festivals are on what dates. Before you say it I can manage Christmas and New Year but what about those which move? Can anyone point me in the right direction?
