I wonder if anyone knows of any short (10-15 minute) DVDs for early years. We don't usually have TV on at nursery but thought we might try showing a DVD in reception in the mornings whilst the children are waiting to come in as it is taking so much longer to get the children in now due to hand washing/shoe changing/temperature/parent questions etc. I don't want any long ones as it might make it impossible to get them into nursery! Anything short/educational/appropriate etc.

I have recorded this for our families to explain to the children how when they come back things will be a bit different so they know its will be a little changed and are a little prepared for whats happening .....its not perfect but as I find "outside a bit strange and stressy now I guess children might find it even more so....even though they are adaptable (as are we all) its not the same and probably wont be for some considerable time

I posted a while ago in a different area of this forum about an idea we had of moving our toddlers to an upstairs area. I had feedback from one other user but wondered if anyone else could share their thoughts and experiences. If your toddlers are based upstairs how effective is this? What works well and what doesn’t. How did parents take to the idea? Any other thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Has anyone tried to do this theme of 'people who help us' with the 2 year old room? My manager wants us to follow similar themes as the 3 year old ... but i'm not sure how much of this they would understand... has anyone else had any experience with this ?
