A local trainign provider approached the head at our school offering to deliver the NVQ4 CCLD on site to any staff who wanted to work towards the qualification, at no cost to the school. Sje said that they would be able to complete the qualification within six months. Four members of staff took up the offer and started attending two hour weekly sessions in September. Two months down the line, they feel completely in the dark and don't feel as if they have made any progress at all or achieved anything. please help this unit is driving me to dispair !!!!!!. any suggestions with the following will be highly appreciated. ke 20 the role of play in conceptual development ke 21 the types of concepts in the range such as shap, position, size and quantity. ke 22 why some concepts may be difficult for children to understand. ke 32 when and how sensitive adult intervention is needed to help extend and deveeloop childrens imaginative play and awareness of the disruptive potential of such intervention.

Could anybody help me with final few questions on C10 K2 how are theories, practices and ideas are re-examined in the light of interpretation of eveidence? K6 How does a childs concentration span develop. Suggest legths at various ages? K24 Way to encourage children to express themselves freely and how to build on childs own interests. Any help welcome.

hi guys, ive just been reading nursery world, and saw an ad for new qualifications from cache, it says they build on knowledge from existing level 3 qualifications. they are: Cache level 3 award in early years and child care for playworkers, and Cache level 3 award in Playwork for Early years and child care workers. Does anyone know anything about them? i've looked on the cache website but no joy. im wondering bc im level 3 qualified in child care and education but working in a playwork setting at the mo, so the second award would be good for me. thanks laura xx

I wonder if anyone can help I am now on my 4th assessor and 4th school (British forces schools and I move so much )can I cross reference my C2 DOR form one school with M8 routine plan from a different school. i hope someone can help the forum has been a great help in the past and never need to ask as its always there so fingers crossed. thanks ellen

Hi. After browsing for a few months now and finding your comments on all the different areas of our vocation a great help and interest, I now wish to join the forum and ask if there is any one on the NVQ 4 Early Years. I am starting in November and feel a wee bit apprehensive. I haven't studied for a while and although I have a level 3 NVQ equivalent (preschool Diploma) I find (from mentoring students within the nursery) that NVQ's are a lot different from the essay based work I have been used to in the past. It would be great if there was someone to chat to about the course as I go along. Great site
