Hi, has anyone got any ideas what i could use to cover P2.2 range 2c as it's the only one i haven't covered.p2.2 plan settling-in arrangements with parents. 2c reads who are brought to the setting by someone other than a parent or family member. Thanks Cathy

Hi to all you assessors out there. As a rather inexperienced assessor I have a few concerns! I've been supporting some settings that have poor (failed) Ofsteds , in an advisory role, and have noticed that these settings have candidates working towards NVQ's level 2's and 3's. My concern is that in these settings there are a lot of things going on that would not be considered good practice and I worry that the candidates do not have the experience or expertise to discern this. How can this be rectified? Should the training providers be aware of the situation. Is it the responsibility of the training provider to assess the setting for suitability? It worries me that som…

Help! Needed On P2 Question

Hi, How come some people have two years to finish the nvq and others only 33 weeks,i thought it was a years course for everybody.Although our tutor told us that city and guilds now will give us a cert for every three units we complete. Anyway need help on question 18 on p2 knowledge and understandings. It reads variations in family values across cultural and other groupings and awaress that practices also vary within such groups and how to estabish relationships with all parents. Not sure what they want ,still getting use to the way the phrase they questions?Can everyone help have to hand them in on wednesday. Thanks Cathy

thank you Helen for the really useful article on C16 which has helped me a great deal. One point I'm confused over though. My understanding of an event sample was that its used to record the occassions that a certain type of behaviour/reaction etc occurs over a given a period, to help assess why the behaviour is happening. The other type where you record activity over timed intervals is a time sample. your article explains what I thought a time sample as an event sample. I hope you are not as confused as me, and can see what I'm trying to say! I'd like to clarify it before I hand my work in . many thanks, Sandie
