I'm in my 2nd year of the degree and I need to undertake an study titled "An investigation in to the suitability of gun and weopn play in an early years setting" I have been given to go ahead to send questionnaires to parents and teachers in reception at the local primary school, to child minders, my staff and also the local children's centre but I'm really struggling coming up with the questions! I want 5 strong questions to ask the parents and the same for professionals, I'm okayish with the professional questions but I'm struggling to get questions for the parents which won't just give a yes/no answer. Hi all, Here i am again considering studying for my foundation degree! I have considered it before but never been the right time,I feel now its this year or never! Just wondering if you can give me your opinions on the course? How much time do you need to devote to studying? Do you feel it is enhancing your practice? Hello everyone, I am currently trying to put together a presentation on ethics and the impact that thay can have when researching involving human participants. I have downlaoded some specific documents like BERA. Does anyone have anymore useful links in this area and would be grateful for any other info people can supply!!! The ethical issues go on to support my independant study, which I have chosen to look at how my setting supports children with Special Educational Needs {SEN} through transition into primary schools. Quick question I am applying through UCAS for my Foundation Degree and I have completed everything except my reference! This is my problem the criteria states no friends, relatives or family and the person show know you academically of profesionally which is fair enough, they suggest present employer or tutor. I own and run my own setting and I assume I can't write my own reference!! The last course was my NVQ 3 which is at the college where I am applying for my Foundation Degree so tutor would be a conflict of interest I assume, and as I left school in 1985 my Head Teacher probably doesn't remember me (that's if he's still with us!!). Hi all you E215 students and former students Can I clarify something with you please - I am going for the 'alternative' option for the TMA critically discussing learning dispositions, potentiating environments, learning curriculum etc. Can anyone tell me whether I am meant to be writing generally about dispositions or picking them out and discussing each 'disposition' separately? Am I making hard work of this TMA? Is it really easy and I have just not got it (lol)? Hope someone can help...

Hi everyone, just hoping somone may be able to give me some advise as I am struggling with this TMA. My tutorial was cancelled last Saturday so I have had no real guidance from the tutor and seem to be going around in circles I have carried out research 1 - child took photos 2 - child conference mainly discussing the photos The child is a boy and he took photos of balls, cars, trains and then went through the fireman sam book taking photos of the different characters, I am finding it difficult to find a direction / link to the course/theory Any suggestions would be appreciated. Observations?

Was just wondering if anyone else was doing the observation unit? and if so am i the only one having problems in y setting carrying out observations? we have to do an average of one observation and one analysis every other week but the observations need to be on something specific i.e IT or seperating from a carer. So i am finding i always have issues with the other staff allowing me time to do them as this often involves the set up of an activity also. I am consequently already an observation behind :-(
